A portion of the wainscoting in Orchestra Left decided to disengage itself from the plaster wall so we had carpenters come in today to remove it. The plaster people will come Friday to repair the affected section then the carpenters will return next week to replace the 106 year old wainscot section.

The Imperial Theatre is thankful to Fox Gives for all they have done to support us and other theatres in Georgia and the Southeast.

Today, we’re reflecting upon a $30,000 grant we awarded to the Imperial Theatre for a new soundboard and related equipment.

This historic 853-seat theatre is located in downtown Augusta, Ga, and has been part of the fabric of their downtown community for more than a century.

Over the past 13 years, we have donated more than $92,000 to support this historic theatre.

We are proud to be part of this theatre’s rich history and honored to help it continue to be a crown jewel of this community.

The Imperial Theatre finally has a little break after a full season of musicals, plays, concerts, and recitals. We like to take advantage of our off season by tackling projects that are hard to get to during the busy parts of the year. This week, Julie is touching up the paint on the banister in the balcony and mezzanine sections!

Major renovations ahead for historic Imperial Theatre - Augusta Good News The Imperial Theatre recently announced a $10 million capital campaign.

The last day of the Imperial Theatre’s Technical Theatre Summer Camp was a success! The campers put together their very own production! “Tale of Two Egos” was written, teched, and presented entirely by the campers. We are so proud of them!

Don’t forget to sign your rising 8th grader-college freshman up for next years camp!

The campers worked hard on day FOUR of the Imperial Theatre’s Summer Technical Theatre Summer Camp! They learned about administrative tasks around the theatre, and were introduced to the rail, which is used to hang lights, backdrops, and video screens!

The Imperial Theatre’s Summer Technical Theatre Camp had a GREAT Wednesday! Caron, our Master Electrician educated campers on lighting theatre productions, and Doug showed them around the sound board! Also, one of our campers is quite the comedienne!
