'So surreal': Metzger, Retton an unstoppable duo as Aurora softball wins district title The duo of McKennah Metzger and Sophie Retton was unstoppable as Aurora softball won its first district title since 2012 with an 11-1 win over Field.

Aurora takes on Field in the OHSAA Softball DII district finals.
'I feel something different': Behind 18 hits, Aurora softball advances to district final McKennah Metzger blasted two homers, Sophie Petrash had an inside-the-plate one and Aurora softball topped West Branch to make the district finals.
For the second straight season, the Greenmen will play for a district championship in Ashtabula County.
Aurora will face either Field or Howland Thursday.
Aurora is headed to the District Championship after defeating West Branch 12-3.
The championship game is set for 4:00 this Thursday vs. Field in Jefferson!
