As the holiday season creeps up, we know that your family's schedule gets busy. That's why, for the rest of the year, EVERY class is eligible for a make-up lesson! We want to make your holiday season a little less stressful without losing your classes. And, we're extending the deadline for your make-ups to 6 months, and adding more make-up classes during your child's Winter Break!

It's the final countdown! ⏲️ Peep the cute little hat on Paddle's ear... The first 150 kiddos at each Bear Paddle school gets a winter beanie when they turn in their Passport to Bear Paddle! Passports are due October 31st.

We believe the more a parent is involved, the more invested they will be in their child's progress. That's why every parent receives a progress report every month to know which skills their child is mastering, and which ones still more focus.

You won't want to miss your lesson this week... It's Assessment week! If you see someone new in your child's class, that's one of our specialists who will be assessing your child's swim skills and helping determine if they will earn a patch next week (or graduate to the next level!). We'll see you soon!

And if you didn't know, every month we have a new theme for our swim lessons to keep your children engaged and having fun while learning to swim! This month's theme is Disco Days, and we're having so much fun hearing the stories coming to life in lessons!

Progress is something we take very seriously at Bear Paddle. We work with you to set a timeline for your child to reach their specific goal. We'll monitor their progress through our monthly in-water skill assessments and progress reports. If they start to fall behind, we will get them back on track with additional lessons at no cost to you.

This week is assessment week! That means your child's swim skills are being closely evaluated by our Deck Team to see if they are ready to graduate into the next level, or if there are skills that still need to be mastered. Next week you'll find out if your child earned any Progress Patches and receive their progress report. If they're ready to graduate into the next level, we'll move them in less than 2 weeks!

We’re having a case of the Mondays after such a fun Construction Days event this past weekend! 🚧 Families got to swim, build Dirt and Worm cups, decorate hard hats, and practice their hammer skills! 🔨

It feels like summer, inside and outside our school! We're a week into our Beach Days theme and loving this fun way to kick off summer ☀️

Throughout the month your child's lesson will be filled with stories of sandcastles, fish, sea turtles, and more!

Want a pro toddler tip from one of our seasoned parents? Take something your little one knows from swim lessons and apply it to something else they're learning! We heard this from one of our mamas who noticed her son listened intently to his teacher when he made big puffy cheeks, so now when she needs him to listen, she asks him to make big puffy cheeks.

Proof that swim skills work even outside the pool 😉

We don't typically talk about this - but it's important to bring awareness to. According to the National Safety Council in 2021, child drownings spiked from May through August, during peak water season.

Did you know formal swimming lessons can reduce your risk of drowning? That's why we expand our class schedule in the summer and host weekly swim clinics, providing every child the opportunity to learn to swim. Plus, every child gets 2 make-up lessons per month, so you never have to worry about missed opportunities for your child to grow in their swim skills!
