Judy is the Lead Prep Chef at Leilani Asian Fusion. Born and raised in Aurora, Illinois, she is first and foremost a mother of 2 girls. Judy's passions include traveling and discovering new restaurants. She has accomplished a lot as a chef including winning a cooking competition on the Food Network! “I started in the industry over 20 plus years ago. I love working at Leilani because it is the first job to offer me a work/life balance. Also, the camaraderie is amazing. Working prep, learning Asian cuisine, training new young cooks, and having a hand in every single dish is so rewarding." Judy’s favorite part of her shift is making “comida” aka staff meal. “Nothing makes me happier than feeding our staff-it is so fulfilling!” Follow Judy

Featuring Aliya!

Aliya grew up in Bolingbrook and now devotes her free time to embracing the arts including painting, tattooing, and journaling. She is passionate about public speaking and acting. This year, she proudly begins her third year coaching the Bolingbrook High School Speech Team.

Aliya has been in the restaurant industry for 7 years. She began hosting then serving, then climbed her way to Front of House Coordinator for multiple restaurants. She serves as our Assistant General Manager at Leilani Asian Fusion.

Out of the many reasons she loves managing Leilani, her favorite is being able to see her staff grow and connect with guests through the language of Asian Fusion Cuisine.

Aliya would love nothing more than for everyone to come in and enjoy a piece of our hearts. She suggests starting with the Hamachi Kinilaw, taking the journey toward the Miso Seabass, and finishing with the Matcha Lava Cake.
