Letting everyone know in Sheffield Lake that I filed my papers to run for the Lorain County Republican Central Committee (LCRCC) - this is the board of directors for the Lorain County Republican Party.

Statement on James Jaeger 2026:

Yes, Committee for a Better Ohio - better yet Jon Morrow - who runs the page has egg on his face.

We were approached online by a person claiming to be James Jaeger last year that wanted to run for office. I talked to them on the phone. Googled their name at the time and checked out a few websites with the persons info on it. I discussed developing a platform for them and diligently helped to produce content for the page. About November I had asked for other photos and video for the couple and - received none - and then they went silent and had no contact with them. At that point I suspected that they may be fraudulent but had no definitive proof. I left the page up but did not post any content. By January, I largely forgot about the page and forgot about James Jaeger.

In February, I went to go back to the websites that confirmed his existence to try to get some more contact information only to find that they no longer exist. I probably should have disclosed the predicament at that point to the public. But I still didn't have confirmation and I have had donors involved in politics be hard to reach during the winter months when they go South to Florida.

Again, there was no further posting happening and I disabled their ability to post from their personal Facebook profiles. So I left it up and was going to wait till the end of may. Mr. Alberts from the Ohio Election Forum was kind enough to point out that James picture was from a haircare model - definitively proving that he was a fraud.

What was the purpose and intent? Don't know and don't care - just feel pretty foolish that I was deceived. I know my detractors will have a field day with this.

To try to atone for my gullibility and not doing my due diligence in vetting this candidate more thoroughly - I am dedicating this page and another to the pro-life movement and will be search for administrators and pro-life activists to hand over the management of the page to.
