In 2023, she expanded her photography business by opening up DS Studio & Photo Lab. 🎉 By 2023 year-end, DS Studio & Photo Lab had grown four-fold, and Daniele kicked off 2024 with more growth on the horizon!

In October 2023, artist Zor Zapata had a desire to level up her face painting business by elevating the professionalism of her brand and increasing business.

Zor partnered with Noelia Ruiz, Small Business Development Center Manager, and has significantly boosted her brand awareness. 🎉 Zor expanded clientele to include work with the City of Aurora, IL, Government, libraries in Aurora, Elgin, and Batavia, restaurants, hospitals, and other local organizations.

🌟 Client Spotlight: Illuminate Space

🕯️ Illuminate Space takes great pride in creating a range of clean products - from hand-poured soy candles to room sprays to reed diffusers and all purpose cleaners. Looking to expand her business, owner Jenni Zielke completed the Small Business Growth Academy at the SBDC.

Jenni learned about resources that CIBC Bank can offer graduates of the program and secured a term loan and line of credit to further her business. She plans to convert a mobile bar trailer into a candle bar to offer candle-making experiences to markets, wedding receptions, and more.

🔨 Juan combined his family heritage of fine wood crafting with his knowledge of information technology to create a unique business, 🪵 The Woodcrafters by Luz & Juan. He makes custom wood projects, including pieces that give back to the community. Juan has created work honoring officers who died in the line of duty. He also made a memorial for the City of Aurora, IL, Government firefighters who responded to 9/11.

In 2022, Juan met Noelia Ruiz, SBDC Coordinator at . Ruiz informed him of the resources and workshops available for owners through the SBDC. This guidance helped Juan restructure his business and diversify his products by creating challenging, custom pieces.

🕯️ Susi and Rob Brucato launched "Scentcerely Yours" in downtown Geneva in 2018. They recently rebranded to "INLURO," with an eye on future expansion. INLURO offers many options for customers to enjoy the unique experience of creating their signature scent as a candle or other product.

In 2021, Susi and Rob connected with the Waubonsee SBDC and, later, the Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center (FVEC) Accelerator program to develop a business growth plan. This support helped ease the transition as Scentcerely Yours became INLURO.
