Mark your calendars for the first ever Hawk Luck Night Market! September 30, from 5-10pm at in South Austin.
We’re super excited to announce this little project we’re working on, and we’re hoping this is the first in a series of recurring events.
Hawk Luck is an Asian night market celebrating hawker culture. That means street foods, arts, crafts, and more. We’ll be serving up a handful of Malaysian street foods, but you’ll also be able to grab food from a bunch of awesome vendors, plus shop for arts and crafts from some amazing artists and creatives!
If you’re interested in becoming a part of this market or a future one, send us a DM and we’ll talk.

An extraordinarily rich biru is achieved by steeping dried bunga telang, and in my opinion, it’s such a beautiful example of tradition and inherited knowing.
I’m excited to showcase this technique and ingredient as part of a six-course menu for
on September 9 in Fresno, CA.

It was such a privilege working with this couple to incorporate and personalize a Malaysian kuih buffet table for their wedding celebration, alongside pierogis that nodded to the bride’s heritage.

Inti, made with freshly shredded coconut and dark, sticky gula jawa, stars in some incredible Southeast Asian desserts.
I’ll be sharing the technique to make your own inti (and much more) on Saturday, May 6 in a small live class at TTK featuring some of my favorite wheat-flour alternatives to make flavorful, interesting bites.

To me, is such a colorful and contemplative spot, full of impeccably curated analog goodies. I love the way that browsing there prompts me to think about the people closest to me and what is going on in their lives…the objects and cards tokens of celebration, personality and comfort.
I love to linger and browse there and hope you will too!
