We are proud to be a part of the international clinical research community as we celebrate on May 20th. On this day in 1774, James Lind, a shipโs surgeon in the British Royal Navy, started the first randomized clinical trial which focused on scurvy, a disease caused by a deficiency of vitamin C. We are grateful for the physicians, researchers, and patients who take part in clinical trials and offer new hope and medical breakthroughs.
