I’m filled with joy today after receiving fantastic news from the parents of a wonderful 12-year-old client with CP. They’ve informed me that he is now moving more at home, using furnitures and countertops for support. His dedication, along with his parents’ engagement in our process of five-day intensives—two sessions each day—over the past few months, is truly inspiring. Today’s update reaffirms why I wake up every morning, motivated and ready to make a difference! If you want to learn more about this work, please feel free to send me a direct message or email me.

"You just sit and hold the baby while I wash these dishes."
I say this to my clients all the time. Your postpartum doula is there to truly help YOU.
So many visitors hold the baby while you grab them a beverage. Your postpartum doula is there to take care of you.
Don't you love coming out of the shower to find that your postpartum doula has put clean sheets on the bed before your nap?
My clients sure do!
Postpartum doulas take care of the little things so that you can maximize the time you spend resting and recovering after giving birth.
I have a couple openings for next month. DM me if you want to chat about postpartum doula support!
Some of my prenatal meetings were at because it's so friendly/casual/easy parking.
What's YOUR favorite coffee shop in the
areas?
Tag them in the Comments and show some local love! I'm always looking for new spots to connect with local couples.
Postpartum doulas fold the laundry so you can focus on napping or snuggling and feeding your new baby.
A bonus of hiring a postpartum doula is that we handle light household chores like dishes and laundry so that you can focus on resting and bonding with your new baby.
Shoot me a DM if you need this kind of support in your life!
As a full-spectrum doula in training, I am deepening my understanding of inclusive practices. I believe that all people deserve access to support teams that REALLY see them and value their unique experiences.
My job as a doula is to listen to my clients’ needs and preferences and support them in feeling as safe and validated as possible. I honor the different identities my clients carry and work to understand the barriers and access they may hold because of these identities.
I am committed to being inclusive because I want to acknowledge the many kinds of birth experiences and outcomes people experience.
Fellow doulas, what does inclusivity mean to you?
✨Birth Affirmations✨ These short encouraging phrases can be repeated throughout your labor to help you stay calm, positive, confident, and empowered.
What are some of your favorite birth affirmations?
Your placenta is a spectacular organ. Not only did it keep your baby alive for all those months, it also contains nutrients including iron and vitamin B6. It’s no wonder some women choose to keep their placenta to continue to reap the benefits, or to celebrate this incredible organ.
What uses of Placenta
Ideas to do with Placenta:
Encapsulation - Placenta encapsulation involves steaming and dehydrating the placenta and processing it into capsules that can be easily consumed. Many women report experiencing benefits including improved mood, boosted energy, and increased milk supply after consuming placenta capsules
Plant a tree - Let your placenta continue to give life by planting it in the ground with a tree, and watch it grow. It is believed that the nutrients in the placenta make an excellent fertilizer.
Turn it into art with placenta prints - Honor your placenta by using it to create a unique art print. Placenta prints are made by applying colored paint or natural pigments to the placenta and placing it on high-quality acid-free paper. Once the placenta is lifted from the paper, you are left with a beautiful tree-like image to enjoy.
Drying the cord - Drying the cord allows the umbilical cord to be turned into a beautiful keepsake by shaping it into a heart, spiral or other design, and dehydrating it.
Freezing your placenta - The placenta and cord blood are a rich source of stem cells, which can turn into any cell needed by the body. Having your stem cells frozen with the use of cryopreservation can store these cells that can be used if needed in the future.
Smoothie - If you prefer to skip the encapsulation process, you can choose to add a bit of your placenta to a smoothie. Blend it with your favorite fruits to hide any taste or texture.
It takes a village. While I’m supporting you and your family, I have a team supporting me as well. From my husband to my babysitters, my pets sitters, my supporters are making sure things run smoothly and holding space for me so that I can be physically, mentally, and emotionally present for you. This domino effect allows pure love to be spread as we each support one another.
Thanks to the support of my village, I’m able to be a part of yours.
Even with a birth plan and doula support, your birth may not always turn out the way you had envisioned.
A doula can help provide you with information to help you make informed decisions regarding your labor and birth, but the main goal is always to have a healthy birthing person and baby at the end of the day.
If your birth doesn’t go the way you had hoped, a doula can help you process your experience and offer tools and resources to help.
Have you experienced a birth that didn’t go as you had hoped?

I discovered my passion for birth work after giving birth to my own children. In my first delivery, I was young and unprepared for the tremendous process. Before giving birth to my second daughter, I knew that I wanted to educate and prepare myself to experience natural childbirth. During this discovery process, I chose a doula who helped me prepare for birth and helped me endure and achieve the birth I wanted so much. I went on to have another natural birth well over the age of 40.
Having experienced the work of two incredible doulas during my own births, I knew that I wanted to help as many families as possible to have positive and empowering experiences in the delivery room.
In 2017, I trained as a doula at, Neri Choma’s Birth Coach Method program in California - birthcoachmethod.com. Now as a doula, I use my expertise as a drama therapist, birth coach, woman, and mother to guide and support other birthing person through their birthing journey.
Having a doula who has taken the time to get to know your hopes, desires, expectations, and fears surrounding your labor and birth has been proven to lead to some really amazing benefits. Some of the many improved labor and birth outcomes of hiring a doula include.
✔️Decreased risk of cesarean
✔️Fewer interventions
✔️Decrease in use of pain medication
✔️Shorter labor
✔️Less anxiety and pain during labor
✔️More positive and satisfying birth experience for the birthing person and partner
With the birth of your baby comes many emotions. Mostly excitement, joy, love, and happiness. But these feelings can also include something you may not have expected - anxiety and depression.
Signs of postpartum anxiety and depression usually appear in the first few weeks after giving birth and may include:
• Difficulty bonding with your baby
• Depressed mood or severe mood swings
• Excessive crying
• Insomnia
• Appetite changes
• Extreme fatigue
• Irritability
• Feeling Hopeless, worthless, shameful, or guilty
• Difficulty thinking clearly or concentrating
If you think you could be experiencing postpartum anxiety or depression, you should talk to your doctor about your treatment options. A doula can provide added support to help you through your postpartum anxiety or depression by:
• Caring for your baby and household chores while you get much-needed sleep
• Listen to you
• Help answer any questions you have and provide referrals to local resources
I use my expertise as a Drama Therapist and ABM Neuromovement method practitioner to help mothers experiencing postpartum anxiety and depression. With my knowledge and experience, I will provide education, resources, and a listening ear. You are not alone in this experience, and I will be there to provide the support you need.
Have you experienced postpartum depression or anxiety? What signs or symptoms did you have?
It was such an honor to be a part of this family's beautiful birth!
Let's talk about the placenta.
The placenta is an organ that develops during pregnancy. It attaches to the inside of your uterus and is connected to your baby by the umbilical cord. It’s purpose is to nourish and maintain pregnancy by transferring nutrients from the mother’s blood to the baby. The placenta also filters out potentially harmful substances, and removes waste products from your baby’s blood.
After your baby is born, the placenta will be birthed shortly after. Your doctor or midwife will examine the placenta to ensure that it has been removed entirely, as any retained placenta can cause complications.
How fitting that this incredible powerhouse of an organ actually resembles a tree of life with the patterns formed by its life-sustaining vessels.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve at least heard of a doula, and have some understanding of the services they offer, But for many it can be hard to understand exactly what a doula does.
A doula is a non-medical professional birth coach who provides physical, emotional, educational and mental support for mothers and families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Doula is a companion for the birthing person and the family. Doulas receive specialized training to make sure their clients are informed of all options, acknowledged and heard, and empowered to achieve a healthy and satisfying birth experience.
During pregnancy doulas work with you to understand your vision, motivations, hopes and fears for your birth, and help you create a birth plan. They will also help you practice coping techniques and positions for labor and delivery, and discuss any birthing or postpartum questions or concerns you have.
During labor and birth, doulas provide physical and emotional support including natural pain management, positioning, and coping techniques. Your doula can help maintain your ideal birth atmosphere, and may provide comforting massage, and verbal encouragement.
After your birth, a doula can help with breastfeeding support, celebrating and processing your birth experience, and helping your family adjust to life with a new baby.
Is there anything sweeter than newborn baby snuggles?
While snuggles are a precious perk of the job, what I love most about being a doula is educating and empowering mothers throughout their pregnancy and birth and helping guide them to having a positive birth experience.
Doula’s don’t just provide support during labor and birth. I will support you throughout your pregnancy with prenatal coaching sessions where we will discuss your vision, motivation, hopes and fears for your birth, create a birth plan, and practice coping techniques and positions for labor.
As your doula, I will help you channel your inner strength with emotional and physical support during your labor and birth.
As a certified birth and postpartum doula, I offer a variety of services to support you throughout your birth and postpartum journey. I would love to work with you to explore all of your birthing options and support you and your partner throughout your birthing experience.
Services I offer include:
Birth Doula Services – Including prenatal coaching sessions, phone text and email support, continuous labor support, and breastfeeding guidance.
Customized Childbirth Classes – I’ll give you and your partner the tools and resources to help you feel prepared, calm, and confident as you approach your birth.
Postpartum Doula Services – As your postpartum doula, I will support you and your family as you adjust to life with your new baby. I will help with newborn care, breastfeeding support, light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, and more so that you can relax, recover, and bond with your baby.
So grateful for this experience...
