Christina Freeman is a native Austinite who fell in love with the magic of performing arts in middle school. Since then, she has taken on beloved roles such as Cathy Hyatt in The Last Five Years, Amalia Balash in She Loves Me, and Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show. Offstage, Christina has worn just as many hats, having worked as a children’s dance instructor, Kindermusik educator, one-on-one behavior technician for learners on the autism spectrum, and even a birthday party princess-for-hire! 👸

Currently, Christina is a lead singer in two wedding bands—The Austin Nines and Honeymoon Austin—and serves as a teaching artist at ZACH Theatre. While she adores performing, her greatest passion lies in nurturing young minds as they discover the world of performing arts and unearth their own unique giftings and joys. ♥️

Entr’acte walks the cabaret tightrope once more in 2024! We’re excited to close out our first season of BarLine at Parker Jazz Club with yet another fantastic slate of artists on October 13th, and we’re kicking off the party with Donelvan Thigpen! 🎉

Donelvan is an actor, musician, digital marketer, and co-founder of Impact Arts. He obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and headlined on the Las Vegas Strip playing Prince in “Purple Reign: The Prince Tribute Show.” 🎸

Driven by his love for the arts, Donelvan takes pride in helping to spread the power of creativity and share the impact that the arts have had on his life. 🎶

Robert has been active in the Austin arts community since 1980, working as an actor, a director, and a writer on more than 85 productions, among them a solo version of Shakespeare’s Henry V which he adapted and performed. He’s also conducted live public interviews with Stephen Sondheim, David Mamet, Susan Sarandon, and other prominent figures. Offstage, he covered the city’s cultural scene for 35 years as the Arts Editor for The Austin Chronicle and was named one of the nation’s 12 most influential theatre critics by American Theatre Magazine in 2011. In 2019, he was inducted into the Texas Institute of Letters. 🏆

Russel has been acting professionally since he was seven years old. He graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in film and musical theatre and has performed in New York, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Beirut, and Austin. He is the founder and CEO of Chicknic, a new fast-fine restaurant concept with its first location in Bee Cave, TX. 🐓

Kathleen returned to her hometown of Austin in 2021 after spending 12 years in NYC as a performer. One of her favorite musical accomplishments was fronting the electric blues band, Fifth of Bourbon, where they performed across the city -- including the iconic BB Kings in Times Square! Since moving back to Austin she's played a range of roles with favorite, local theatre's, including: Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (The Archive Theatre), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Cold Frame Collective), Kate in Fire in Dreamland (Filigree Theatre), Chana/Ingenue in Indecent (Austin Playhouse), and Mayor Maggie in Bat Boy (ACC).

Kathleen was most recently seen playing Cyrano in Cyrano de Bergerac (Cold Frame Collective) -- which closes the night before Barline! She's also a playwright with plays produced across the country. Signature components of her work entail emotional archaeology and lots of humor.

As a fan of Entr'acte, improvisation, and collaboration, Barline is a thrilling opportunity to stay present and play!

Megan is a born-and-raised Austinite who recently graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She began performing in theatre at the age of seven and continued to work around Austin for the next decade. Her most recent roles include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde with Zilker Theatre Productions and Texas in Cabaret at the University of Utah. She is thrilled to be back home and working with old friends! 🎉

JP graduated from Rouse High School in 2022, where he was nominated for 3 Heller Awards. These included Best Featured Performer for his portrayal of Enjolras in Les Misérables in 2020, 1st place Solo Musical Theatre Performer in 2021, and Best Lead Actor for his portrayal of Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame in 2022, securing a Heller Award two years in a row.

He is an alumnus of ZACH Theatre’s Pre-Professional Company and performed in the ZACH PPC Showcase: Back to Broadway. JP recently made his return to the Topfer Stage, where he performed as a member of the ensemble in ZACH Theatre’s A Christmas Carol and as Snail in A Year with Frog and Toad. He is an alumnus of Impact Arts, where he has performed in Summer Stock Austin productions as Piragua Guy in In The Heights, the Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Teen Angel in Grease, Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls, and King Triton in The Little Mermaid. He has been nominated for the B. Iden Payne Award for Outstanding Featured Performer in a Musical two consecutive years for his performance In In The Heights and Grease.

JP is very grateful and excited to be a part of this amazing new tradition in Austin! 🎼

Christopher Shea (Stage Manager) is a multifaceted Producer/Director in the world of independent filmmaking, theatre, and television production. With over two decades of experience, Chris has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.

His impressive roster of projects includes acclaimed works such as “Lousy Carter,” which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2023, “Arizona Circle” by Rooster Teeth in 2019, & the PBS documentary series about stand-up comedy in Austin called “Stand Up Empire,” which he produced & directed for two successful seasons in 2016 and 2017.

As a producer, director, and manager based in Austin, he has helmed productions for Netflix, Discovery, A&E, TLC, & AppleTV, while also spearheading numerous feature films and shorts across various markets.

Beyond his work behind the camera, Chris’ acting credits span theater productions like the world-toured “The Intergalactic Nemesis,” where he portrayed the character Ben. He is also known for his involvement with the St Idiot Collective theatre company, which he co-founded in 2004, as well as performing improv and sketch comedy. Recently, Chris Produced the lion’s share of The Alchemy’s theatrical slate, including “Good People” (2018), “A Christmas Memory” (2019), “Mack & Mabel” (2022), “The Virgin Trial” (2022), & “Pipeline” (2023). Chris’ passion for photography shines through in his documentation of over 200 theatrical productions, earning him recognition such as a cover featured on American Theatre magazine in 2009.

Christopher continues to make significant contributions to the realms of theater, film, and television, cementing his legacy as a versatile and influential figure in the entertainment industry. This will mark Chris’ 5th concert production with Entr’acte, and he couldn’t be happier to continue the second season with DAMN YANKEES.

Entr’acte cofounder and DAMN YANKEES musical director Adam Roberts is grateful to maintain an active career as equal-parts creative producer, artistic director, and vocal coach.

He is Director of Music at Austin’s St. Luke United Methodist Church, cofounder of Resolution Creative, Entr’acte, and the former TILT Performance Group, a faculty member at The Actor's School, Carol Hickey Acting Studio, Impact Arts, and ACC Drama, executive speaking coach with Enso Coaching and Consulting, a former contributing writer for Backstage and American Theatre magazine, musical director and conductor of the Heller Awards for Young Artists, and past conductor of Texas Commission on the Arts’ Texas Medal of Arts Awards.

Adam’s students have performed in principal roles on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in regional theatre, been nominated for the Tony Award, and appeared in film, national tours, and on network television. As a pianist and conductor, he has performed alongside Ben Platt, Jennifer Holliday, Ray Benson, Mela Sarajane Dailey, Rachel Joselson, and a host of other music luminaries.

In addition to his role as Musical Director of Music Theatre Online and Libretto with The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Adam is a past contributor to the Austin Chronicle. He holds a master’s degree in music from Florida State University, an Executive Certificate in Arts and Culture Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania & National Arts Strategies, and undergraduate degrees from Kent State University and Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music. A Pan American Vocology Association Recognized Vocologist with a certificate in vocology from Lamar University, his online course “Teaching Voice for Musical Theatre” is available from Forward Motion.

Like many performers, Sarah Fleming Walker (Director of DAMN YANKEES) works in multiple genres — but her absolute favorite is Musical Theatre. Most recently seen as Shelby in Austin Playhouse’s THE SPITFIRE GRILL and Betty in THE NORWEGIANS, Sally in Entr’acte’s FOLLIES IN CONCERT, Halina/Ensemble in Austin Playhouse’s INDECENT, and Mrs. Lovett in ’s SWEENEY TODD, she has also performed the roles of Sarah in GUYS AND DOLLS, Vi Moore in FOOTLOOSE, and the Baker’s Wife in INTO THE WOODS.

Currently, Sarah serves as an Associate Artistic Director at Austin Playhouse and Producing Artistic Director of Entr’acte — which she also cofounded — and was Director of the company’s concert productions of CHILDREN OF EDEN, CRAZY FOR YOU, and PIPPIN. You’ll next see her on the Entr’acte stage as Edie Beale in our November production of GREY GARDENS.

Sarah’s debut album ELEVEN O’CLOCK NUMBER was released in 2023 and can be found on all major streaming services. The album was celebrated with a solo cabaret at Austin Playhouse, featuring several of Sarah’s favorite songs from the musical theatre repertoire. She is exceedingly excited for Entr’acte’s second season!
