Why is it important to eat fruit? When many of us think about the benefits of eating healthy food, we typically think of consuming fruit and vegetables, with a particular focus placed on getting our 5-A-Day into our daily diet. This recommended amount isnt as hard to consume as many of us believe it to be, in fact, you can incorporate fruit and veg it into your diet at every mealtime for an added boost of minerals, vitamins, and fiber. 5-A-Day is a popular term used to describe the recommended amount of fruit and vegetables you should be consuming within a day. Though this may be common knowledge to some, this recommendation isnt the literal case of eating say 5 singular raspberries or grapes, but rather refers to 5 portions. It is also worth noting that portions will vary depending on the food product itself.

Meal prep doesn't mean spending all day in the grocery store and kitchen. If you don't want to cook all the things on Sunday (I don't), there are still ways you can help yourself out with a little bit of planning. Meal prep might be cooking for the whole week or just jotting down some dinner ideas on a notepad. Without any sort of plan, it's a lot easier to get take out or eat cereal and feel defeated that you didn't get your veggies in or have a satisfying meal or snack. I highly highly recommend finding a way to plan that works for you.

Main Ingredients
540g bread flour
86g caster sugar
8g salt
9g full cream milk powder
11g instant dried yeast
86g whisked egg (plus extra for egg wash)
59g whipping cream
54g milk
184g tangzhong
49g unsalted butter (melted)
For Tangzhong
50g bread flo

Mix flour and milk evenly until all lumps are well combined. Cook over medium-low heat and stirring consistently to avoid burning and sticking. Remove from heat when the mixture thickens to a stage where lines are visible when stirring. Transfer mixture to a clean bowl and cover the surface of the mixture with cling wrap. Let cool to room temperature. To Make Bread Pre-heat oven to 180㮠In a bread maker, add the milk, cream, egg and tangzhong. Add the salt, sugar and milk powder, then the bread flour, making a well, and add the yeast to the well. Choose the dough mode of your machine. Pour in melted butter when all ingredients are combined. Allow the dough to knead until smooth and elastic, about 30 mins of kneading in total. Rest the dough for 40 mins until double in size. Remove dough to a clean surface and deflate. Divide the dough into 3 equal portions and cover with cling wrap. Rest for 15 mins at room temperature. Using a rolling pin, roll each portion into an oval. Fold S from the longer edge to the middle and press, then fold S from the other long edge to the middle and press. Flip over to make the seal face down. Then with the rolling pin, roll along the length to stretch the dough to about 30cm. Then flip over again to make the seal face up, roll the dough with hand from the shorter edge into a Swiss roll form. With the seals facing down, put the doughs into a loaf tin and allow to proof in warm temperature until double in size. Use whisked egg to apply egg wash on the surface. Bake for 30-35 mins until the surface is brown. Remove and transfer to a wire rack. Let cool.

Ingredients
Tangzhong Roux:
▢40 g all-purpose flour
▢1 cup whole milk
Dry Ingredients:
▢540 g all-purpose flour
▢½ cup caster sugar
▢6 tbs milk powder
▢4 tsp instant or active yeast
▢2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
▢2 eggs room temperature
▢½ cup warm whole milk about 100 deg F (38 C)
▢6 tbs butter room temperature

Instructions
Tangzhong Roux:
Combine milk and flour in a small pot over low heat.
Stirring frequently, heat the mixture until the texture becomes like a thick pudding.
Remove the roux from heat and transfer to a bowl. Cover and allow to cool to room temperature.
Stand Mixer Method:
Add all the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl, sifting through a metal sieve to work out any large lumps.
Combine the room temperature roux, eggs, and warm milk and mix together. Add to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl.
Using the dough hook attachment for your mixer, mix the ingredients for about a minute.
Add the softened butter to the bowl and scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula.
Turn the machine back on and let it mix on low speed for about 15-20 minutes until bread becomes smoother, scraping down the sides of the bowl as necessary
