This past Saturday, Goodwill Central Texas partnered with Impact Forward and Dell Reconnect for an incredible technology drive at our Star Ranch store, collecting 1,700 pounds of electronics for responsible recycling! ♻️

Together, we're not only diverting e-waste from landfills but also empowering communities through sustainable practices. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success! 🙌

We had an absolute blast at the Halloween Costume Swap hosted by Parker + Scott and Boxifly this past weekend! Huge thanks to our incredible community partners—Wear Trash, Organized for Good ATX, Butta Love Treats, and Lets get Baked ATX—who helped make this event extra special 🎃

All leftover costumes and accessories were generously donated to Goodwill Central Texas, where they’ll go towards supporting our mission to transform lives through the power of education and work. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a positive impact! 🎉

Goodwill Central Texas was excited to participate this past weekend in our partner SAFE Alliance's Annual Touch-a-Truck event, which allows children and families to interact with different trucks and vehicles. We were there with one of our box trucks and our new digital equity van, BETTY(Bringing Education and Technology To You)! Thank you to everyone who came by and said hi 👋

Thank you, H-E-B, for helping us celebrate and raise funds for programs that transform people's lives, including Marcia Brown.

At age 41, Marcia worried she was too old to get her high school diploma, but she was determined to show her four children it is never too late to accomplish your goals. When she enrolled at the Goodwill Excel Center for adults, she worked in home healthcare while caring for her kids and her aging mom, and she wanted a more sustainable career. Not only did Marcia complete her Phlebotomy certification through Excel, but she also received her high school diploma the same week her son graduated from high school! This summer, Marcia started her new job as a full-time phlebotomist.
