The development of this guitar has been about creating a unique and affordable do-it-all workhorse that competes and surpasses the quality, tone, and playability of larger corporations of equal price point, as much as it is a “signature” model.

I truly believe in the instruments Walker is handcrafting at his shop in Central Texas and wanted to get in at the ground-level, and I can personally attest to the fact that they are absolutely road-worthy.

This guitar is sort of a conglomeration of all the guitars I’ve toured with over the years—classic tele styling, a 5-way switch for some 2nd and 4th position single coil stratty goodness, hand-wound humbucker/p90 pickup combo which has quickly become my favorite rock and roll/country configuration, rosewood fretboard on a comfy C-shaped maple neck, and a thinline body with nitrocellulose clear coat hand-sprayed in house for that wonderful airy semi-hollow goodness.

The Doubleday Standard Series Suncaster retails for $1999 and is available in cherry sunburst, natural, trans black, and antique white. I’ll sign and number the first 10 off the line, allow around 12-16 weeks for build time (it’s worth the wait I promise!). Can’t wait for y’all to get your hands on one of these, it is truly an awesome instrument!!
