In celebration of last week's National Intern Day, we want to spotlight the incredible talent and dedication of our interns at Structura. We're fortunate to recruit top talent from numerous Texas Universities and host internships year-round. However, every once in a while, we discover a truly exceptional candidate like Reece Lee, straight out of high school.

Reece has been an intern at Structura for two years, starting in the office under a Project Manager while attending college full-time. Since then, his passion for the field has grown tremendously, and he has worked on numerous projects under seasoned Superintendents, honing his construction knowledge. One of his supervisors shared, "Reece is wise beyond his years and was born to be a leader. He can see far ahead in our schedule and knows exactly where he can assist his mentors without being told. Reece is a one-of-a-kind, rock star employee."

Showcasing the Bee Cave Medical Office Building project! This multi-tenant, two-story medical and retail facility in Bee Cave spans 22,970 SF and provides premier space for multiple private medical practices. The project features EIFS and natural cultured stone exteriors, below-grade parking, and extensive site improvements. We're proud to have been part of creating a top-tier space that will serve the community's healthcare and retail needs for years to come.

We're excited to share the completion of the North Park Subaru expansion by our San Antonio office! This project involved expanding the showroom, remodeling existing spaces, reconfiguring offices, and extensive site work to create a welcoming environment and an inviting entrance.

A big thank you to our partners: Marsh & Associates, Inc., EEA Consulting Engineers, and Hoffer Structural Solutions. The North Park Subaru expansion project showcases Structura's commitment to delivering high-quality construction and design solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Structura Inc. collaborated with STG Design to transform TCDRS’ fourth and fifth-floor suites into one unified space, encompassing the common corridor and restroom areas as well. This total gut and renovation project introduced a monumental staircase that seamlessly links both floors within the revitalized office space. The new layout includes 10 conference rooms and enhances the work environment with five coffee bar areas, three stylish wood timber pods for enhanced privacy, 32 private offices, and 12 dedicated breakout spaces. Embracing a shift towards a hybrid work style, Texas County & District Retirement System's office design fosters collaboration and innovation. From thoughtful architectural details to the luxurious embrace of curated materials and furnishings, every corner resonates with our commitment to excellence. Inspired by Austin’s iconic Greenbelt and breathtaking cityscapes, the TCDRS office is a testament to our connection with the Austin community.

Last month, Structura's team hosted The American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) training session at our office, bringing together industry colleagues and staff for a valuable learning experience.

ASHE is the largest association dedicated to optimizing the healthcare-built environment. We were pleased to have our partners from Baylor Scott & White Health join us, as we’ve been collaborating on numerous exciting projects. Together, we take pride in leading the healthcare construction sector in Austin and staying at the forefront of industry developments.

We are excited to share that Structura is constructing a 16,240 SF state-of-the-art fertility center for the Colorado Center of Reproductive Medicine (CCRM), designed by Perkins & Will. Located along Southwest Parkway in South Austin, this facility will offer comprehensive Embryology and Andrology services, including IVF, IUI, and analysis.

Last week, we gave AIA Austin's Architecture for Health Committee a tour, showcasing its advanced features. The facility includes an office-based IVF suite with consultation services, exam rooms, labs, and a state-licensed ambulatory surgery center with an operating room and a 4-bed patient care suite. Partnering with AIA Austin has been fantastic, and we are proud to contribute to this impactful healthcare project.

Structura Inc. was entrusted with the class A multi-level finish out of a 17,200 SF space, transforming it into a high-performance and secure workplace for Wind Energy Transmission Texas, LLC (WETT). Key features include an in-house data center with redundant power systems, enhanced security with high-security badge access, and comprehensive amenities such as conference rooms and break rooms. We’re proud to support WETT's mission and provide a cutting-edge, efficient workspace. Kudos to our team for making this vision a reality!

Structura proudly constructed the iconic Live Oak Brewing facility in Austin, TX, spanning 23,370 SF. This project showcases our team's commitment to innovative building techniques, featuring advanced solutions and meticulous installations by a German crew, all expertly overseen by our team. Highlights include a tap room that seats 100, a gear store, and a serene beer garden nestled under the oaks. As seasoned builders of multiple breweries in the region, we continue to advance the craft beer industry with our expertise in creating state-of-the-art spaces.

This spring, Structura was fortunate to welcome an incredible group of interns. Their dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm have truly made a lasting impact on our projects. As we close their spring semester with us, we’re not just celebrating the end of a successful internship—we’re cheering for the bright futures ahead. Structura Inc. is proud to highlight Mary Street Life Storage, a notable project featuring two four-story, climate-controlled storage facilities totaling 81,000 SF. Each building is outfitted with elevators and restrooms, complemented by a contemporary leasing center office and a newly constructed parking lot.

Last month, we celebrated the ground-breaking event for the upcoming Buda Veterinary Care project. Structura leads as the general contractor for this future two-story veterinary clinic, opening in Fall 2024 for the city of Buda. A special thanks to our project partners, including PGA, Kimley-Horn, Agnew, Green Earth, and Carrillo Dean, for their dedication and hard work! Step into creativity at the Doug Smith Performance Center, a cultural gem in Georgetown. The three-story, 14,500 SF building is designed to inspire young minds with exceptional facilities, including a 200+ seat performance space, dance studio, classrooms, and more. Structura is proud to have built and support the center's mission of educational theater for all children in our community. Special thanks to the teams we collaborated with to bring this project to life: Wang Architects, Matkin Hoover Engineering, Bay & Associates, MJ Structures, and Word + Carr Design Group.

Our 2nd annual Crawfish Boil was a pinch-tastic success! It was wonderful to see our valued partners and clients come together for a fun day of food and even better company. Celebrating Women in Construction Week at Structura! This week, we honored the incredible contributions of women in the construction industry with a special job walk at CCRM, a women's fertility clinic we're currently building. From breaking barriers to building dreams, women are integral to every aspect of construction. We ended the week with a Women in Construction lunch, where we celebrated the achievements and strength of our female colleagues. Here's to empowering women and breaking stereotypes in construction!

The Plum Creek Surgery Center is a modern ambulatory pain and surgical center located south of Austin in Kyle, TX. From the modern waiting room to pristine operating rooms, the Structura and Polkinghorn Group Architects team expertly brought this project to life, adding significant value to the community. This ASC adds to our growing portfolio of exceptional healthcare projects.

Celebrating 15 years of safety excellence with Juan Suarez! With extensive training and certifications, including Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) and OSHA 500 Certified Trainer, Juan has played a crucial role in achieving Structura's Zero Lost-Work Safety Record. His dedication to safety, evident through weekly site visits, inspections, and ongoing training, makes Juan an invaluable member of our team. Introducing Bella Piazza, our completed project in Richmond, TX! This four-story office building features tilt-up concrete panels, offering a Class-A workspace for future businesses and tenants. Stay tuned to see what Structura builds next!

Structura's latest project with Federal Public Defender, facilitated through our partnership with Patrinely Group, encompasses security upgrades, shell enhancements, and a stunning interior finish-out. Occupying the entire 23rd floor of the Bank of America Plaza in downtown San Antonio, the 12,000 SF office boasts 360-degree views of the skyline. With 35 offices along the perimeter, a spacious break room, and high-end finishes, it exemplifies Class-A excellence and heightened security with upgraded card readers.

Structura is the proud builder behind the transformation of Austin's beloved Crux Climbing Center. This premier climbing and fitness facility, nestled in a renovated warehouse complex off of South Congress Avenue, stands tall with its 30' walls and vibrant community atmosphere. Despite unique challenges, our team navigated shelling delays and seamlessly coordinated with the owner's vendors for climbing wall installations, resulting in a spectacular product! Kudos to the entire Structura team for turning challenges into triumphs. A huge shoutout to Crux Climbing for entrusting us with this remarkable project. As we near the end of the year, we are celebrating the completion of one of our largest and most prominent projects to date: 1515 E Cesar Chavez. We are grateful for the incredible journey we have undertaken with this project, alongside our industry colleagues at Pennybacker, Lost Herd, Square One, Urban Foundry Architecture, Chioco Design, dwg, AEC and Aptus. Located in the rapidly evolving East Cesar Chavez district, the three-story mixed-use retail and office project boasts beautiful architectural moments overlaying a compact program within a dense urban infill site. The building's central courtyard, faceted steel planter, and board-formed concrete wall showcase innovation in approachability and integration with the vibrant East Austin context. We are proud of this vibrant addition to the East Austin neighborhood.

This month, we've celebrated the things we hold dear - our wonderful community, valued colleagues, and the meaningful projects we have the privilege to build. From joining forces with the American Heart Association and Polkinghorn Group Architects, Inc. to pack over 13,000 meals for the Central Texas Food Bank to participating in our final Meals on Wheels America event for the year, to gathering together for a Friendsgiving Potluck, our commitment to giving our all is our pledge to the community we cherish. Grateful for every moment and every person who helps Structura and wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

Structura's San Antonio team just wrapped up the brand-new golf clubhouse project at Kissing Tree Community in San Marcos. Structura was entrusted with bringing to life the stunning two-story clubhouse, boasting a total of 14,150 square feet of enclosed space. This clubhouse is more than just a building; it's a hub of community life. The Tarbox and Brown Restaurant and Bar offers indoor and outdoor dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen and bar, secure golf cart storage, efficient food and beverage back-of-house facilities, and functional staff offices. Adjacent to the restaurant is a boutique golf attire and equipment store. This project is a true gem within this extensive 1,300-acre oasis.
