Celebrating Unity and Empathy
PACT would like to wish you all a very happy Pakistan day!
On this day, when not only our beloved nation but the entire world is facing huge challenges because of the pandemic, let us pledge to unite together to support and elevate others. Let’s extend our hand to our community and beyond, in order to set an example for the world as to what Pakistani community can achieve with compassion and resilience in difficult times like these.
Celebrating our nation with pride and passing the baton to the future leaders.
Folks, this event is a great opportunity for your teenager(s) to come speak with Sadaf Jaffer - the first Pakistani and Muslim woman to become a mayor in USA. They will get to hear her life story and ask questions about what it takes to become more politically engaged in these modern times. Organized by Teen PACT (Teen Pakistani American Collaborative of Texas), this is a first in a series of events for our youth to meet and engage with political and society figures who can inspire and motivate them. Please do encourage your teenager to join next Saturday, Feb 13th, from 1-2 PM Central (adults are welcome to join as well). Registration Link: https://bit.ly/39HOt3p
Thank you for your participation and enthusiastic engagement folks! These events are always successful because you all attend!
For those of you who missed this important discussion, have no fear because we are linking the video below!

Homelessness in Austin: Root Causes & Ways Forward
Happy new year folks - and what a happy new year indeed! Here is to positive changes on the horizons and promises fulfilled.
Stay tuned because PACT has an interesting line up of events for 2021!
In The Bag!
The Pakistani American Collaborative of Texas (PACT) concluded a successful election season with an edible expression of appreciation. On the last day of the Thanksgiving weekend, Sunday Nov 29th, PACT handed out 100 savory-sweet bags of samosas and laddoos to say thank you to the Pakistani American community in Austin for coming out to vote in the 2020 election.
A drive-up event on Sunday afternoon at the Westlake Performing Arts Center parking lot was followed by doorstep delivery of the bags to those who couldn’t make it in the afternoon.
Some received their special delivery in person and let us click a pic. Their delighted smiles said it all! Others texted later to acknowledge the treat, and say thank you.
This, perhaps, is THE most consequential election of our lifetime. ‘
‘Election 2020’ - an infographic by the Pakistani American Collaborative of Texas (PACT), has made voting, following election results and accessing other key election resources, easy.
We ask one favor: that you pay it forward by casting your vote and requesting at least three other people around you to vote as well.
Let your voice be heard in this election!
