I Ya Toyah: I Ya Toyah is not a musical act, she’s a movement. This Chicago phenom has released several critically acclaimed recordings and multiple award-winning music videos. Her live show is a mix of captivating sounds and visuals, wrapped by pulsating lights and passionate performance.
 
The Russian White: The Russian White is a dark electronic and deathwave project hailing from Pennsylvania. They are currently signed to Lost Glacier Records, The Russian White take elements of post-punk, synthwave, witch house to create a soundtrack reminiscent of an 80s stalker flick. Lush vocals meet with stories of obsession, beauty, and the unknown.

Sally C:

If recent times have taught us anything, it’s that Sally C ain’t messing about. The Belfast-born, Berlin-based DJ has stamped herself as one of the most exciting new artists on the scene, thanks wholly to her inspired selector skills.  

With a deep passion for vintage house that crosses the gamut of hip house and acid, right up to future-facing techno and electro rollers, she has developed a knack for selecting timeless, slept on classics that deserve the shine her sets bring. 

With a distinct flair on the ones and twos, recent highlights include making her Panorama Bar debut during Berghain’s massive re-opening month in October 2021, supporting The Chemical Brothers at The Warehouse Project, playing mainstage of her hometown AVA festival b2b with Cromby and being a repeat guest at renowned Kyiv institution ∄, rated by many as the best club in the world. 
Many would point to her still-talked-about Boiler Room gig at AVA Festival in 2019 at her coming-of-age moment. That day she smashed it out of the park, leading RA to laude her a festival highlight alongside the likes of Motor City Drum Ensemble and Rebekah, noting her “musical range and technical acuity”.

Sally developed her craft while living in Scotland where she went to study, running a night at Dundee hotspot The Reading Rooms. She moved to Berlin in 2015 and etched out a spot in the thriving club hub, throwing parties at Griessmuehle and her own open-air raves, all the while building a fanbase for her raw and chunky style. This was fuelled by a slew of outstanding online mixes that showcased her vibe-heavy sound for the likes of RA, Crack, i-D and a ‘Dusty Hip / Ghetto Haus’ session with Cromby that’s garnered a cult following, to name just a few.

Might Be Magic is thrilled to have Massimiliano Pagliara right here in Austin, TX for an eclectic and powerful night of music and dancing. Born and raised in Corsano, a small village in the Deep South of Italy, Massimiliano describes his style as an eclectic mix of house, disco, electro and techno. He has been based in Berlin for several years where he's been one of the main forces behind recombining the city's hardboiled techno scene with an often overlooked sensibility for the soft and the tender. Call it underground disco passion. Having been a resident at Panorama bar for many years, he has worked tirelessly across many years to establish himself as one of the most innovative figures in house and techno. MASSIMILIANO PAGLIARA

Massimiliano Pagliara was born in Tricase (Lecce) in the deep south of Italy. Already as a child he listened to diverse types of music: rap, classical, reggae, dub and 60s rock’n’roll. Coming from this small village, he and his friends created a small musical world for themselves,  spending a lot of time every day playing records in his basement and at private parties.

Upon moving to Milan in 1997, Massi embarked on an academic career and eventually earned  his diploma in theatre, dance and choreography at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in  2001. While discovering the fashionable and alternative club scene of the city, his imagination was captured by experimental electronic music such as Aphex Twin, Boards Of Canada, Autechre and Mira Calix. Naturally these avant-garde sounds eventually found their way into  Massi’s original body of work.

PLOY, the pseudonym of South London based artist Sam Smith, emerged onto the scene in 2016 with his debut release, ‘Sala One Five’ on the renowned Hessle Audio label, expertly followed up by a slew of EP’s finding residence on Batu’s Timedance imprint, the faction whom collectively carved out a unique sound in a shockingly short space of time, grounded in UK bassbin principles yet pushing that prism in wild, crooked new ways that have become something of a signature aesthetic. Ploy’s unique sound has a place among modern electronic music’s most innovative, receiving remix treatment from the likes of Beatrice Dillon and Peder Mannerfelt. As well as regularly performing in Europe’s top venues, having already mixed an Electronic Explorations podcast, held down multiple NTS shows and a week-long residency on Rinse FM, and Fact Mix most recently. 2018 sees a hefty release schedule, with the South Londoner continuing to strain the most challenging of dance floors and bass bins alike.

PLOY, the pseudonym of South London based artist Sam Smith, emerged onto the scene in 2016 with his debut release, ‘Sala One Five’ on the renowned Hessle Audio label, expertly followed up by a slew of EP’s finding residence on Batu’s Timedance imprint, the faction whom collectively carved out a unique sound in a shockingly short space of time, grounded in UK bassbin principles yet pushing that prism in wild, crooked new ways that have become something of a signature aesthetic. Ploy’s unique sound has a place among modern electronic music’s most innovative, receiving remix treatment from the likes of Beatrice Dillon and Peder Mannerfelt. As well as regularly performing in Europe’s top venues, having already mixed an Electronic Explorations podcast, held down multiple NTS shows and a week-long residency on Rinse FM, and Fact Mix most recently. 2018 sees a hefty release schedule, with the South Londoner continuing to strain the most challenging of dance floors and bass bins alike.
