Job description: DIGITAL PRESS OPERATOR

Responsibilities

Read and understand job tickets. Use job ticket information to ensure production is produced according to specification
Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production
Monitor printer efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards & make appropriate adjustments
Assist in workflow and process improvement planning
Must have the ability to maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines, and meet deadlines
Observe machines in operation and make adjustments as needed
Identify workable production solutions when troubleshooting
Ensure deadlines are maintained and company objectives are met
Maintain printer and inventory supplies as needed
Must be prompt, courteous, professional and take pride in work
Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills

Ability to set up and operate a machines
Working knowledge of Fiery Rip Software
A strong attention to detail and focusses on quality
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
General printing and bindery knowledge
Able to multi task well, remain organized, and handle many projects at one time
Hardworking, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products
Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
Experience with bindery equipment is a plus
Experience

Minimum of two years of digital printing industry experience
Minimum of two years of Xerox or Canon printing industry experience
High School Diploma

Job Requirements

- Strong attention to detail

- Heavy lifting
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks
- Basic Math skills a must

Responsibilities

- Carefully read work orders and carry out tasks accurately
- Using machinery to fold, cut, drill, score, shrink wrap, etc.
- Hand folding cards, stuffing envelopes, collating, etc.
- Operating industrial printers
- Packaging finished orders
- Putting away paper orders and other supplies
- May be asked to do deliveries in company vehicle (valid license
and clean driving record required)
- Keep shop clean and clear of clutter.
