2019 Denali HD software/connectivity/projection questions:
I own a hardscape company with multiple crews plus a few employees on the ground everyday. My days average 6-7 hours of drive time and 12-15 stops everyday.
Projecting my Samsung phone to the screen wasn't working for me because it limits functionality, and when I need to look up an address to send to a team lead or employee, I would have to turn off navigation, unplug the phone, then be able to look up the address to share it with someone. And then I would lose my navigation and mess up my route.
So I installed a ProClip tablet mount which hangs the tablet over my screen. This has been an awesome solution for me for quite some time now. But it could be a little better.
1. Can I connect my two devices to the truck at the same time?
For example I would love to have the tablet connect for my audio inputs like Pandora, Pornhub, etc. While also giving way and silencing for when my phone receives a call for me to use that phone (the more important device) over the truck's Bluetooth.
2. Can the truck send the backup camera feed to my tablet in lieu of the factory screen? Or maybe to both screen and tablet, either way?
So far this has been the only real downside of my tablet placement. I can turn the tablet clockwise a quarter turn pull it out slightly and crouch towards my steering wheel to see the backup camera, but it's not ideal when backing up in parking lots etc.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Although I've already considered many options like switching to Ram Mount with the under seat bolted system to move the tablet off to the side a little bit more, etc. but, I really don't like that option as It takes up space for the passenger. I've also seen these dash rebuild kits that have a tablet or something mounted inside them. But I do pull the tablet off daily, so accessibility is also an issue.
My current setup is really ideal aside from the backup camera view being blocked.
