Burnazzi Feltrin Architects designed this stunning apartment in Trento, Italy, with a strong emphasis on well-being. They addressed various aspects of it, including outdoor noise, environmental concerns, and indoor electromagnetic pollution. The apartment features a serene private garden that acts as a buffer from the bustling road, providing a tranquil green vista. Custom furniture designs were integrated to maximize both functionality and aesthetics, while large windows with built-in seating enhance versatility.

The design concept beautifully complements the garden's colors and materials, incorporating a soothing green palette, Venetian terrazzo flooring, and walnut wood. The thoughtfully curated lighting scheme combines recessed LED track fixtures with exquisite David Trubridge lighting, resulting in an abstract yet evocative atmosphere. Above the dining table, a David Trubridge Snowflake pendant serves as a focal point, creating a space where the family can gather, share meals, and stories, further enhancing the apartment's overall appeal and functionality.

Barry Callebaut, a global chocolate and cocoa product manufacturer, moved its Zurich headquarters to a new space, enlisting Evolution Design for the project. The goal was to establish a strong connection to the company's culture and confectionery products. The design concept incorporated a range of materials, textures, and graphics to reflect the diverse flavors and aromas of cocoa products. Different areas within the office were themed with the company's brand characteristics, creating a unique language of materials and colors.

Sustainability and well-being were central to the workplace concept, using eco-friendly materials and greenery to enhance the indoor atmosphere. The design features internal staircases connecting hubs on each floor to encourage circulation and create a journey through various zones. Kylie Brammy and George Kyprianou, with the assistance of Phil Harris from Troppo Architects and designer Susanna Bilardo of Troppo Architects Troppo Architects, expanded their small Victorian home by three feet towards the property line, creating a spacious modern retreat. The discreet addition blends seamlessly with the street view, maintaining a unique roofline to meet local heritage requirements. Inspired by a local winery, Kyprianou designed a subterranean wine cellar with a flush glass top operated by a custom 12-volt air compressor mechanism.

This innovative glass-top cellar not only adds a touch of elegance but also illuminates the living space with soft lighting, showcasing the 132-year-old stone foundation. The addition also includes a new guest bathroom flooded with natural light through translucent roofing. In compliance with strict Australian water regulations, a concealed PVC "water bladder" holds 3,000 liters of rainwater for toilet flushing and laundry use. The home features energy-efficient glass windows, reclaimed materials, water-saving systems, and eco-friendly finishes, making it a sustainable oasis in Adelaide.

Fitting the theme of sustainability, the kitchen boasts two David Trubridge Koura pendant lights, which create a mesmerizing play of diamond-shaped shadows on the walls, especially at night.

Throwback Thursday to the World Expo in Dubai, when, from October 2021 to March 2022, New Zealand showcased their country's innovative and sustainable solutions and unique culture.

Within the pavilion, themed "Care for People and Place," visitors engaged with exhibits that showcased New Zealand's progress in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, and sustainable tourism. The pavilion celebrated New Zealand's rich Maori heritage, with cultural performances, traditional art, and insights into indigenous knowledge and practices related to environmental stewardship.

Visitors could also experience Tiaki Restaurant within The New Zealand Pavilion. "Tiaki" signifies care, preservation, and protection in Māori, echoing the pavilion's theme. The restaurant greeted 7,000 visitors during its six-month tenure at the Expo. It served New Zealand's culinary highlights such as hoki fish, grass-fed beef, and free-range chicken, alongside specialties such as the Kapiti Moana cheese platter and a Kiwiburger.

Tiakiā€™s temporary interior was furnished with New Zealand brands such as Abodo, and Noho, and was crowned with a stunning Navicula lighting installation by David Trubridge. As patrons dined under the canopy of Navicula, they enjoyed a multi-dimensional experience celebrating the convergence of culinary and visual artistry, while celebrating the theme of sustainability.

Biophilic design establishes a connection between people and nature by seamlessly integrating natural elements, patterns, and materials into architectural and interior designs.

The Nodo Hotel in Santiago integrates many biophilic elements, including biophilic lighting, to create a comfortable and harmonious environment for its guests. The lobby and restaurant areas incorporate David Trubridge lighting installations, completing the aesthetic.

Biophilic lighting is a specific aspect of biophilic design that focuses on the integration of natural light and lighting solutions that mimic natural lighting patterns. It seeks to create a connection to the outdoors and enhance the visual comfort of indoor spaces.

Biophilic lighting aims to create patterns of light and shadow reminiscent of nature, such as dappled sunlight through leaves. This contributes to a calming and visually appealing atmosphere. And lighting fixtures with organic, nature-inspired forms evoke a sense of connection to the natural world.

The choice of David Trubridge's Coral and Navicula for Novo Hotel is appropriate, as their organic shapes and patterns are inspired by the aquatic life These designs evoke a sense of nature indoors, fostering a deeper connection to the environment.

The Zespri offices in Shanghai got the memo that David Trubridge lighting makes a great addition to office spaces! Hereā€™s why ā€¦

Aesthetic Appeal: David Trubridge lights are characterized by their captivating and intricate designs inspired by nature. Their organic forms and visually appealing patterns add an element of artistry to office interiors, creating a visually stimulating environment that can inspire creativity and uplift the mood of employees.

Natural Lighting: The design of David Trubridge lights often incorporates the play of light and shadow, mimicking natural patterns. This can help to create a sense of connection with the outdoors and bring a touch of nature indoors, which is particularly beneficial in office settings where access to natural light might be limited.

Biophilic Design: Many David Trubridge lights adhere to biophilic design principles, which emphasize the incorporation of natural elements into built environments. This design approach has been shown to reduce stress, enhance well-being, and improve cognitive function ā€“ all of which are valuable in an office context.

Ambiance and Mood: The warm and inviting illumination emitted by David Trubridge lights can contribute to a more comfortable and pleasant atmosphere in the office. This can positively impact employee satisfaction, mood, and overall work experience.

Focal Points: These lights can serve as focal points within an office space, helping to define different areas or zones and adding visual interest to the overall design. Focal points can create a sense of hierarchy and organization within the office layout.

Customization: David Trubridge lights come in a variety of sizes, colors, and configurations, allowing for customization to match the specific design and aesthetic preferences of the office. This flexibility ensures that the lights seamlessly integrate with the overall interior design.

Sustainability: Many of Trubridge's designs prioritize sustainability, often utilizing eco-friendly materials and manufacturing processes. This aligns with the growing trend of environmentally conscious workplaces and can contribute to a company's commitment to responsible practices.

Conversation Starters: The design of these lights can spark conversations and interactions among employees, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

Incorporating David Trubridge lights into office spaces goes beyond mere illumination; it elevates the office environment into a visually captivating, biophilic-inspired, and artistically enriching space that can positively influence the well-being and productivity of employees.

Kooroomba, a residence nestled within Australia's Scenic Rim Region, was designed around the concept of two simple geometric pavilions. These two pavilions are positioned in a way that creates a series of courtyards and establishes a harmonious connection with the surrounding natural environment.

The main living pavilion is distinguished by its large retracting doors, allowing the space to transform into an open pavilion that seamlessly connects the residents to the beautiful bushland and panoramic views of the Great Dividing Range. To enhance the connection to nature, the materials used in the construction were thoughtfully chosen for their texture, warmth, and durability, such as stone and spotted gum timber. These elements serve to anchor the home and provide a sophisticated reinterpretation of country living.

To complement the natural timber theme, David Trubridge Coral pendants were thoughtfully selected as decorative elements, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design.
