All Creative Action programs are designed to help young people develop holistically—blending arts education and youth development. We create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that allow youth to develop measurable creative expression, a commitment to social justice, 21st-century skills, and social and emotional skills. ThunderCloud Subs has teamed up with Creative Action for the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot Art Logo Contest! 🦃⚡️🎨
ThunderCloud Subs is working with four of our partner program sites, engaging with nearly one hundred 3rd-8th grade students as they explore the theme of helping their neighbors.
“We see this partnership as another way to support the community and make the ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot even more meaningful for everyone involved,” says Trot executive director and ThunderCloud co-owner Mike Haggerty.
We are so proud of our students, and super excited to see what all of these young artists create.

Creative Action's after-school program enrollment is O P E N! 🚨
We still have a little under a month left in this school year, but it's never too soon to plan for the next! Our program offers an arts-based curriculum that combines social and emotional learning and social justice education for positive youth development.

Plus, there will be FREE pizza provided by East Side Pies and snacks and beverages. The event will be held indoors so you and your family stay warm and dry!

As we do annually to celebrate our 🌎️, CapMetro hosted the official unveiling of our art wraps!
In partnership with CapMetro, Art on the Bus is a contest designed for local public elementary schools to learn about the environmental benefits of public transportation, and have the incredible opportunity to have their artwork displayed on our city’s electric buses.
The following schools and students were chosen, and received a six-month in-school residency collaboration with Creative Action. Their art has been made into murals, and transformed into vehicle wraps for one of CapMetro’s buses and three of their pickup vehicles.

From the outside, Kenzie has it all figured out. But, with friction at home as her family navigates a stressful financial situation, will Kenzie find the strength to question the expectations of those around her, weather the storm of adolescence, and explore her own independence?
Join Changing Lives Friday, April 19 and/or Saturday, April 20 from 7:30p - 9:30p at CRASHBOX to take this journey with Kenzie as she navigates a tumultuous storm of self-discovery.

Located in the lobby of Creative Action, UpFront Gallery is a unique and innovative space run by and showcasing the art of local, young and emerging artists. The gallery hosts four rotating exhibitions a year, in addition to the annual Little Big Things Vendor Market and being a stop on the Austin Studio Tour.
UpFront Gallery is curated by the members of Chroma Collective, and is managed by Chroma member and Lead Gallerist, Ripley La Rue.
