High quality IGX 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5 WEC7 SoftAP solution

Intelligraphics Inc., the industry leader in providing advanced Wi-Fi software solutions and wireless driver development services, announced the availability of its high quality and feature rich IGX 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5 SoftAP solution for Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC 7) and Windows Embedded Compact 2013 (WEC 2013) devices using QCA9377 (802.11 ac, 1x1, USB). The IGX 802.11ac USB Wi-Fi5 SoftAP provides a proven, readily deployable solution for Industrial, Medical, Retail and IoT Products. WEC7 Native Wi-Fi stack does not support SoftAP mode of operation, and this Wi-Fi SoftAP solution is achieved by Intelligraphics’ innovative proprietary driver/supplicant stack to cater to numerous customer use cases.

Windows family of embedded operating systems (including WEC 2013 and WEC 7) has garnered excellent reputation for years together due to their stability, robustness, and flexibility of operation. WinCE 6, WEC 7 and WEC 2013 devices are ubiquitous and can be found in many hand-held industrial devices, rugged devices, consumer electronic products including printers, bar code scanners, medical products and many other enterprise grade devices. Its ease of use, reasonable cost of development and stability makes Windows Embedded a strong platform for broad range of mobile devices and embedded platforms.

With the availability of Wi-Fi 5 USB adapter with suitable WEC 7/WEC 2013 driver, product designers have experienced an ease of adding more features at a plug-and-play level to bring in integrated solutions to their products on the go. Windows embedded USB stack is very mature and known for its stability across many industrial solutions.

Support for 20MHz, 40MHz and 80MHz wide channel widths
Supports Open and WPA2-PSK (AES) security profiles. New security profiles can be added on request.
