I hated closing Crema so much… it truly felt like a death for me, and I spent almost a year mourning that loss. But as I see conditions continue to get harder for local restaurants, I feel some peace in knowing I made the right choice for my mental health and my family.

Speaking of family… we’re all kinda slaying these days. ✨ Janessa is my work partner again 🥰 and our business has had a fantastic start to 2024! And Molly, the Littlest Cremling, is starring as Cady in the production of Mean Girls later this month. 💖🔥

Hey friends. I know it’s been a long, HOT while since I last posted… it’s been a busy summer for our family!

Molly turned 13, saw Barbie twice, got braces 😬, had a photo shoot with her besties and slayed in the AISD Summer Theatre Series performance of “Mary Poppins.”

Janessa assisted SO MANY folks in buying, leasing and selling their houses… she even helped a sweet young family move back from Maryland to Central Texas and into their dream home!

Which leads to me. It’s been almost a year since Crema closed and it’s been without a doubt the most difficult time of my life. I’ve done more thinking, praying and soul searching than ever before, trying to figure out what my next chapter looks like.

Well, now I know. My next place is next to my wife, as it has been for the last ten years. I got my real estate license and Janessa and I are now Ally Real Estate Group!

We’re the same people, same values and same goals but a new mission: we are committed to helping our neighbors find home sweet home. And, yes, you can expect Crema goodies at all our events!

I was a lifelong LGBT ally and celebrated with tears before I ever knew the Supreme Court’s marriage equality decision eight years ago would impact me personally.

Now that I’ve been “gay married” for almost six years, I know my karmic return for championing the rights of others is the love and support I receive from my wife every single day.

Love is love, y’all, and it can be so, so good. 🌈💜

And rights are not like pie… giving some to others doesn’t mean there’s less for you. 🥧😘
