Our sweet Rudy (beautiful gold/tan & white dog) is headed BACK to TEXAS and needs a foster or adopter locally (Austin/Houston preferably). Rudy was pulled from the euthanasia. He immediately had an adopter on FB but he was already in the EU “transition” room so he was rescue only. SO, we rescued him so she could adopt him. REALLY sweet lady but after a week, she called and said he was too much for her. Too big, pushed up against her and she was afraid she’d fall so we took him back. Had no foster homes so we had to put him in boarding. He sat there for 4+ months waiting for transport to NY to a family that was excited to have him. Well, after about a week or so in their NY home, the Mom came over and Rudy just lunged at her. It was scary but nothing happened. This is a home with other adults, dogs & kids. Mom comes back another time and Rudy went for her again. This time he bit her. We found a local trainer that worked with him for an extended period of time. He could not get Rudy to react like that around him and does not know what his trigger was regarding the mom. Being that she’s the only one he would go after it has to be something about her. We just recently thought about her hearing aids. They might have had a high pitch noise that only he could hear and it was maybe hurting his ears 🤷‍♀️ It’s all been such a challenge with the distance between us so we decided just to get him down here for hands on evaluation and hoping we can get him into a loving home. He was continued to be loved on for 15 months after that. Can ask Mom to go (😂😂) so Rudy had to go but it was/is SO difficult for the family in NY because they still love him. So, it’s good that he’s not been abused or neglected because of it like it would have been in most instances like that. But he’s been loved not abused and just needs the right home. We have NO foster homes currently and boarding facilities are pretty full, expensive AND won’t do Rudy a bit of good.

We’re so excited to announce the adoption of our long time pup that’s been in boarding for several months! JoJo, with the help of another rescue, our sweet boy has found his happily ever after home. This is Hoss! We talked to his boarder and here’s what she shared with us: He was a bite case. Supposedly he bit the transporter but after hearing the story and getting to know him, it was either stress or unintentional, in my opinion. Has been fine with everyone he has met, including kids 5+. He is big and strong and has terrible manners but extremely affectionate and house and crate trained. I probably wouldn't put him with very small kids simply because of his strength and excitement. He has learned sit but doesn't always stay there long. He is EXTREMELY food motivated. He does have some areas on tail and legs where hair is missing but looks a lot better compared to day one. He likes to chase a ball but usually doesn't bring it back lol. He's silly! I have not introduced him to other dogs since he was suppose to go to training and he is so strong but he has zero reaction through the kennel whether in it or out. Shelter said they dog tested and he did fine. Yolo needs a new home NOW. He is at a training facility and is being picked up by his Foster tomorrow. He needs more room to play then she has to offer. He’s been vetted, neutered and is heart worm positive. His Foster says: Yolo is super sweet. Playful. SUPER ENERGETIC. He was fearful of many obscure things when he was w/me. Meet Duke! He has been vetted, neutered and after treatment is testing heart worm negative now. He is adorable and friendly! He’s a great family dog, wonderful with other dogs but we wouldn’t recommend cats. (He hasn’t shown aggression but does run after them. Maybe he only wants to play but he’s got a lot of size on them! 😬) Duke is looking for his furever home and needs your help! Kole is great with humans, dogs, kids, and potentially cats but like all dogs, I highly suggest slow introduction. I personally have not tested him with cats but he makes no sudden movement when he sees a cat. He is making daily progress with his skin condition but is healthy now enough to become the CEO (Chief Excitement Officer) at home! His skin condition is NOT contagious in any way, just poor health before he got dumped at the shelter. So far, his skills are: – Invade your personal space – Wake up and love you forever because you will be the first thing on his mind – be your ride or die – Smile and talk to you all day. Yes, he is super vocal. Doesn’t bark and things but he will talk back if you are talking directly to him. – Chase your bad days away – Sit – Down – Stay (I am able to get him to lay down, tell him to stay, put treats down in his bowl, and he won’t come over until I clap my hands!) – Fetch – Go to bed – Eating tons for #bulking – Heel and walking on a loose leash ••••Potty trained•••• Kole is located in the Houston Texas area! It’s Foster Friday! 🐾 Meet Babs! 🖤 We asked her foster to share a bit about her and this is what she said: She is a little skittish and not a huge fan of big dogs. We are still working on potty training. She gets bad anxiety around loud noises. We are still working on her not panicking when I throw toys for my other dog. She was definitely beaten. She follows me around like we are surgically attached lol she is good aggressive. With me she is very relaxed and loves cuddles and to be the center of my attention. With others she just lays on the couch until I get home. She is a very sweet girl. It will take a very special person with patience for her. She loves my other dog but when on walks she is aggressive to other dogs walking.
