Happy Thanksgiving from Sergio and I!
I share two (2) of my lessons learned here in this scene of King Richard Film and how this is relatable to something I experienced during my lifetime. Lesson 1: Each word that repeats in my mind and/or out of my mouth has an affect on myself and other’s. Lesson 2: It is our responsibility to advocate and speak up when we can during our lifetime. This scene reminds me of when I was 9 years old and placed in the Intellectually Gifted Class (IGC) for 4th grade in a public school in New York. During the first days of classes the teacher said in front of the class to all students, “Not everyone belongs here.” Then her eyes locked in with mine. The next year I was not in IGC 5th grade class. Despite the teachers statement affecting my performance in the 4th grade, I chose to not let her statement define who I am for my lifetime to keep moving forward to achieve my goals along with every challenge. I choose to live my best possible life with belief in myself and other’s with unconditional love and respect. I welcome a lifetime of challenges to keep learning lessons so I continue to create more positive impact. 🙏🏼❤️💪🏼🙌🏼
