We’re ready to get the 2024 season started at the series opener tonight w/ the ISMA Supermodifieds!

A throw back to when Jimmy Bodnar was readying the former Nicotra, former Lichty Hawk chassis for the 2016 ISMA series as the black and gold #76 then red white and blue #76 with Lou Cicconi and Moe Lilje behind the wheel.

This year, the Bodnar Motorsports-Tyler Shullick Racing Supermodified will be using the number 96.

Now for a little crowd sourcing fun. If anyone would like to help us pick a font for the numbers, feel free to leave us ideas in the comment section. If you paste an example, please give us as much information with it as possible. If we pick one of your recommendations, we’ll give credit to the winning submission along with a free Bodnar Motorsports - Tyler Shullick Racing Supermodified T-Shirt as soon as we design and print them.

Happiness is a new set of Keizer Racing Wheels. Thanks to Wade and the whole crew.

Bodnar Motorsports has been involved in over a dozen different types of racing through the years. Here’s a picture of the U.S. Air Force Academy SAE Mini Baja that was built in 1996 based on a Bodnar design. The car finished sixth (out of 80+ teams) in the 1996 Midwest Mini Baja competition in Wisconsin. A revised version of this design won the 1997 Mini Baja-West in Tempe, AZ.

ISMA/MSS is excited to announce our completed 2024 Schedule! Teams and fans have a lot to be excited about with the addition of four new events and two new states along with our annual events such as the Super Crown Nationals (Lorain Raceway Park), Great Lakes Classic (Berlin Raceway), Hy-Miler Nationals (Sandusky Speedway) and the Oswego Speedway Challenge Races.

New to the schedule includes a Friday night 40-lap feature addition to Evans Mills Raceway Park's John Burr Memorial weekend in September, an August trip to New Hampshire with a doubleheader at Claremont Motorsports Park and Lee USA Speedway (Ollie Silva Classic), and a long-awaited return of ISMA/MSS Supermodified racing to North Carolina with the November $10,000-To-Win North South Shootout at Caraway Speedway.

We would like to thank all of these tracks for including us on your 2024 Schedule and our teams look forward to entertaining all the fans when we come to your towns!

John Bodnar in white t shirt. Even before Jim Bodnar started in Supermodifieds in 1974, his father John Bodnar was racing stock cars, modifieds and midgets. John (known as Jay to his friends) started racing as soon as he got out of the Army after WWII. John was co-owner of the first two Jim Bodnar Supermodifieds in 1974-1975 and 1976-1977. He became a (full) car owner of the black and yellow #14 supermodified driven by Gary Weinbroer in 1981.

This is a couple weeks overdue but what a great time at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) convention in Indianapolis. As SEMA’s faster, more racing focused big brother, PRI is the biggest racing industry focused convention in the world. Thanks to Rich Reid Racing #55 for being my wing man for the event.
