The Community Caring Center is Azle's local food pantry. We offer a drive-thru food pantry, clothing, and household goods. How can you help us with our mission?

Hey Azle community! π This season, Azle FFA is thrilled to kick off our Annual Gift of Food Drive, and we need YOUR help to make it a success! π
Starting Dec 6th, we're collecting goodies for the Community Caring Center, an amazing organization we've proudly supported for three years. The need has grown, and we've seen them serve over 125 families in just 2.5 hours! π² Let's rally together and fill their shelves with the essentials they need for well-balanced meals.
π₯« What can you donate? Think rice, beans, canned veggies, soups, mac & cheese, pasta, peanut butter, and more! Check the list below for ideas. Every little bit counts!
ποΈ You student can grab a paper grocery sack, fill it up, and bring it back to school. Our students will also be distributing 1,500 bags throughout our community tomorrow afternoon! π

Mark your calendars! Bags will be picked up on Dec 13th, so we can deliver them to the CCC on Dec 14th. Let's make this holiday season special for those in need.

We are grateful for our generous community that donates to support those in need! We are also grateful for our wonderful volunteers that will take a break over the Christmas and New Yearβs Holidays. 2023 is already the busiest year on record for CCC and we hope our donors will enable us to continue to provide assistance with food, clothing, and household goods in 2024. We will open our donation doors again on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Azle High School students from PALs, NHS, and FFA were a huge help when they volunteered at our food pantry on Thursday, 11/30! Shelves were stocked, boxes were decorated and filled, and bags were assembled. It was a pleasure to have these young adults help those in need in our community.
Tri-County Stock Horse collected 40 pounds of canned goods and raised $370 for our food pantry from their raffle. Thank you for choosing us as the recipient of these gifts in November! What a great way to wrap up a very busy month.

Fried Onions is the last shelf stable item we need to complete our Christmas dinner boxes! When you stop by your favorite grocery store, please pick up a couple extra containers of fried onions and drop them off at the back door of The Porch Resale Shoppe during their business hours. We are excited to share that a HUGE construction project will begin Friday, November 10th! The rear entrance for CCC and The Porch Resale Shoppe from Red Bud Dr. will be closed. Food Pantry clients and Porch shoppers should look for signage and enter from Commerce St.. Please keep in mind that the Food Pantry and Free Shop will be closed on Friday, 11/10, for Veterans Day.

John M. has been a volunteer at CCC for over a decade. He is dedicated and very helpful as a driver, pantry stocker, and forklift operator. John also acts as a liaison between CCC and the Revive United Methodist Church. Below is a picture of John unloading a food donation from Revive. Revive consistently donates between 200 and 300 pounds of food per week helping us maintain our inventory. Thank you John M. and Revive!

On October 3rd the Tri-County Reporter launched the 2nd Annual "Fill the Pantry Challenge" to benefit our food pantry. Between now and November 3rd, you can drop off food donations to one of the following organizations to help them win the challenge: Azle Police Department, Azle Christian School, Pinnacle Bank, Hope's Bazaar, Optimist Club of Azle, Azle ISD, Servolution, Azle Memorial Library, Rotary Club of Azle, Azle Area Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Reporter, and CJ's cafe. If I missed an organization that joined the Challenge or your organization wants to get in on the challenge - please comment. With your help we will fill our pantry shelves for the holiday season!
