Save the Beaches is a not-for-profit organization that was established in 1983 to preserve and protect our coastal heritage, wildlife, and wetlands.

Learn about our friends the Horseshoe Crabs here at the LIghthouse on Saturday Night, June 3, at 6:30. Check our our touch tank, work on a Ranger book, take a walk to the bay beach and see if there are any mating horseshoe crabs. We start at 6:30pm and are asking a $2.00 donation. Call 631-583-5901 for information. Bring a flashlight for the trip back to the parking lot.
Just Imagine strolling along the Fire Island beach during twilight and watching the sun set and moon rise almost at the same time. Imagine learning about the history and stories of the beach and the Lighthouse. Make it a reality by calling 631-583-5901 to make reservations for our LANTERN LIGHT WALK, MAY 5 with walks leaving every 15 minutes after 6:30. The fee $20 per person/ $15 per member includes a Lighthouse lantern.
