This election will not be much about republican or democrat, nor independent or libertarian, it will be about right and wrong, truth and lies and common sense and ignorance. There is an obvious progressive push by the major news and social media outlets to deify one candidate and demonized the other. Political pandering using race, gender and social issues have become standard ammo for those naive targets of the unwashed masses. Much like junk mail and polls, many people will give in to the persuasive and incessant nature of the lies or simply give up. But those desiring real freedom, true democracy and a Patrick- Henry-type liberty will chose righteousnessly and faithfully, because we are Americans, the land of the free and the home of the brave!!!! Pray and act wisely!

Prop 36--Californians for Safer Communities, is on the ballot November 5 and I need your help in ensuring it passes. I recently wrote an op-ed for The Bakersfield Californian, and it explains how Prop 36 will help Californians transform their communities. By holding criminals legally accountable, it addresses the root cause of addiction, theft and homelessness. I would be honored if you took the time to read my op-ed HERE.

On October 23, I along with other Kern County elected officials, am hosting an event that will raise funds to support our efforts. Our opponents have come in, near the end of the campaign, with television ads that make many false claims about Prop 36 and unfortunately they are proving effective. We need to raise the money to air our own commercial that will tell Californians the truth about the ability of Prop 36 to reshape our communities and make California the Golden State once again.
