Welcome to Theresa (Teri) Goldner, KCCL's Contracts instructor!
Theresa A. Goldner is a graduate of UCLA School of Law (Juris Doctor) and University of California at Davis (Bachelor of Arts in Economics). 35 years of experience in the law, including public service as a United States Magistrate Judge, Kern County Counsel and Superior Court Commissioner, and private practice in Bakersfield and San Francisco. Past President of the Kern County Bar Association.
A big welcome to KCCL's Legal Research instructor, David Kelly! Happy to be having him join the faculty roster.
David has 37 years legal experience including U.S. Navy JAG corps, Military Judge, appellate counsel in California Courts of Appeal, and 10 years as Kern County Public Defender’s Office Writs and Appeals Deputy.
And the next warm welcome to the Kern County College of Law faculty roster goes to Stephanie Gunther! Stephanie, who proudly describes herself as "Defender of the Constitution", will be joining the faculty as the Criminal Procedure instructor.

Catherine E. Bennett is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law at Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, where she handles matters in all California appellate courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in various areas of civil law including personal injury, probate, real property, and family law. Cathy is a proud dog mom to Olive and Winnie, and dedicated to improving life in Kern County through involvement in various nonprofits, including the Women’s and Girls’ Fund and Bakersfield Museum of Art.

Judge Katz began his judicial career in December 2008 after being appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in October, 2008. For twenty years Judge Katz served in the Kern County District Attorney’s Office as a law clerk, a deputy district attorney, and as a supervising attorney. As an attorney Judge Katz spent bulk of his career handling civil and criminal matters involving consumer and environmental violations, asset forfeiture, insurance fraud, and child abduction. He also served as liaison to the Kern County Grand Jury.

Every year the Kern County Bar Association Charitable Foundation celebrates Constitution Day by giving two books about the US Constitution to schools here in Kern County AND by sending readers from the Kern County Bar Association to a select number of schools to read to the students about the United States Constitution.
