Goldner is a graduate of UCLA School of Law (Juris Doctor) and University of California at Davis (Bachelor of Arts in Economics). 35 years of experience in the law, including public service as a United States Magistrate Judge, Kern County Counsel and Superior Court Commissioner, and private practice in Bakersfield and San Francisco. Catherine E. Bennett is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law at Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, where she handles matters in all California appellate courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in various areas of civil law including personal injury, probate, real property, and family law. Cathy is a proud dog mom to Olive and Winnie, and dedicated to improving life in Kern County through involvement in various nonprofits, including the Women’s and Girls’ Fund and Bakersfield Museum of Art.

Hon. Steven M. Katz, Criminal Law Instructor. Welcome Judge Katz!

Judge Katz began his judicial career in December 2008 after being appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in October, 2008. For twenty years Judge Katz served in the Kern County District Attorney’s Office as a law clerk, a deputy district attorney, and as a supervising attorney. As an attorney Judge Katz spent bulk of his career handling civil and criminal matters involving consumer and environmental violations, asset forfeiture, insurance fraud, and child abduction. He also served as liaison to the Kern County Grand Jury.
