Huntington Beach’s young musical upstarts Your Favorite Color blend dreamy electronic pop with classic indie rock sensibilities. Getting to work with YFC has blossomed into some great design projects, including these awesome shirts and hoodies we created with them. They wanted a unique and unexpected piece for their shirts that showed the more dark and mysterious side of their sound. The artwork boasts their original thoughts and musings which represents a deeper understanding of their music and lets the viewer peer a little closer at what makes these incredibly talented musicians tick. It all ties nicely with their current single and video for “Heroine” which we highly recommend you check out right now. Looking forward to showing you more of our collaborations with YFC in the very near future!

"We love it when a plan comes together" Didn’t Hannibal from the A-Team say that? I think he actually said “I” instead of “We”…. Well, this was one of those logos that came together perfectly.

The client came to us with a general concept of that they wanted and after drafting multiple revisions within our secret underground Fluxar laboratory, there it was! We sent it over to the client and they loved it. Hit the nail on the head! Thanks Mark Windes and Danielle Windes we are looking forward to seeing the logo in action.

The reigning underdogs in NuMetals' veteran ruling family are back. "Ready To Die" is the first single from their upcoming album 360 Degrees Of Separation. This is the original line-up's first new album with long time friend Ryan Shuck (OrgyMusic, Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise).

It’s been a pleasure to continue working with Adema during their current comeback and creating artwork to compliment their return. We wanted to make something impactful for their single “Ready to Die” and really tried to encapsulate the emotion and raw energy of the song. We’d like to think we were successful in doing so. The song has been doing great on rock radio, Spotify, Amazon Music, and other streaming platforms in the few short weeks since its release.

We look forward to sharing even more of the work we’ve cooked up with these guys in the coming months. A big thanks to Superman Ryan Shuck for his continued devotion to Fluxar.

Looking for some new tunes? If you are then you should check out upcoming Sunset Grunge Rock Band Slaves To Humanity.

Fluxar was tasked with building a brand new logo from the ground up, as well as the artwork for the upcoming single, and some apparel designs. This project was close to our hearts here at Fluxar, being the music nerds that we are.

We would really like send big thanks to frontman Aidan Amini and the band along with Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh for giving us the opportunity to work with these rock stars.

Fluxar has lost a friend and one of our favorite clients. Dexter came to us back in 2000ish wanting to build a website, and help with branding his Special Ops Clip on Kneepads. Needless to say we jumped right on the opportunity!

Dexter was adamant about having a spinning version of himself wearing his kneepads on the website. The only way to do it at the time and have it be fluid was to use good ol' Adobe Flash!

Thought we would also share a screenshot of his website that dates back to 2001! Where you see Dexter standing was the spinning image of himself.

Dexter became family to Fluxar over the many years we knew him. He would always come by the office, call, and email us on a regular basis just to talk. He was always wanting to "update" his website, and we would sit for hours talking about how to do something more amazing than the spinning cowboy. :)

His son Brandon Meadows plans to pick up where Dexter left off and will continue the legacy.

Working on the Midici website was enough to leave you hungry after each session. Lots of creative work and great photography went into this project. Our crazy designer Andreas put his magical touches on the website and built the Midici logo ground up.

Then there is us! Today we launched the much anticipated website for legendary record producer and mixer Tim Palmer. This site was a blast to create and getting to work with Tim again was super cool. Tim and Fluxar go way back to when we did our first project together back in 2004! This would be the third website we have done together and we believe it's our best yet!

From deep in a mid-century modern arsenal of sound in Long Beach California, a signal is sent out from the commander and front man Ryan Shuck of the numetal band Adema, summoning the creative minds of the Fluxar Eschelon to design swag for the upcoming Ready To Die tour.

The design of the RTD poster went through a number of reiterations to reach its final outcome. Having creative sessions with Ryan to try to get a feel for where the band is and where the band is going was paramount in its final product. Feelings of resistance, isolation, fear, anger, hopelessness, perseverance, loss and addiction are the building blocks for this art piece.

Lots more designs are coming! Oh yeah, we did get to hear the new song... It's hardcore rad, so stay tuned..

Fluxar Studios Throwback | Headquarters Remodel 2006-2009

Creating for ourselves is not something we get to do as often as we like, as we spend so most of our time creating for everybody else. However, back in 2006 we started the remodel of the Fluxar Studios Headquarters. FSH was one of the most intense projects that we have done to date. The entire building was demo'd from top to bottom, and nothing was salvaged!

There were so many nights of sitting in the middle of the empty shell with a few beers thinking of every aspect of its design and how it would come to look in the end.

Finally in late 2009 the project came to a close and we were ready to begin the next chapter in the evolution of the Echelon. There were so many awesome people who helped bring this project from vision to reality.

Nu Metal band Adema and Julien-K frontman Ryan Shuck came to us wanting to tackle promotional items for Adema's upcoming live virtual show. This included a limited edition signed concert poster and VVIP (virtual very important person) laminate.

The poster art features hand drawn images of each band member on top of an Illuminati-esque background.

Super cool and fun motorcycle vinyl wrap project we got to do for our friend Ryan Shuck, front man of the band Julien-K. Ryan wanted us to take the album art from the Harmonic Disruptor album release and incorporate it onto his 2021 Harley Davidson fuel tank. Well, we did just that. After several revisions it was ready to become a reality. Who else would we call other then the Long Beach vinyl master himself Ken at Podium Design Factory.

The project came out absolutely amazing!

For a cool throwback Thursday, we thought we would share a cool guitar / amplifier combo we worked on a few years back called 360 Synergy. This space age inspired, Frankenstein's monster of a creation was a joint project with Reinhold Bogner, founder of Bogner Amplification, and our very own designer Andreas Pichler. Fluxar was hands on from conception to completion and its debut at the NAMM show in Los Angeles, California.

The client asked us to create a brand for their new line of amazing wines. With many years of wine knowledge behind this project, and speaking in depth to the winemaker himself, the Fortitude Cellars logo concept was born. The icon was inspired from the Riedel Sommerliers Burgundy Grand Cru wine glass. Soon after the creation of the logo, the labels were born. We are looking forward to the evolution of Fortitude Cellars and getting the opportunity to indulge in their great wines.

Client: The Mark Restaurant and Jazz Bar

This fun food shoot took place at The Mark, were the plates were put together by Chef Rogelio Fernandez. We ended up using the photos on their website as well as other marketing materials.

The food stylist rendered the food in the images inedible for staging purposes. However, the Chef was bringing us out goodies on the side that tasted as good as these looked!

If you know anything about country music then you definitely know the name Buck Owens. To be able to create a web presence for Buck's country music museum and legendary venue, the Buck Owens' Crystal Palace not once but twice, has been an honor for us.

Working with the Buck Owens family for many years now, has been an amazing experience and we truly feel like part of the family. With 2021 right in front of us we are looking forward to many more cool Buck projects!

We call our fabulous designer and artist Andreas the International Man of Mystery. Andreas has been working with Fluxar since the beginning and has played a key role in some of our coolest projects.

Andreas embraced Foil’s legendary foundation and then, with valuable input from a team of master craftsmen, designers and athletes, shaped Foil into what it is today.

Foil Skis are the truest expression of a lifelong desire to create authentic “High Performance Art.” The result is the embodiment of supreme engineering and superb design. On the Rocks was a fun project for sure! Building out pretty much anything that was needed to open a bar, grill and venue! Logo, menus, uniforms, website, signs, and so on. The venue went on to house lots of great bands like Bakersfield’s very own Adema.

We were tasked with creating a brand for a beer/alcohol delivery service called Beer Runner.

They wanted us to illustrate a cartoony character and have a matching app and website with an integrated mobile game that users could play while waiting for their deliveries to arrive. We embraced the goofiness of the idea and created a fun time-waster where “You Need to make your delivery, and fast, but You need CARBONATION to RUN! Grab Bubbles along the way in order to keep RUNNING! Avoid the annoying HOPSTERS and Their PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE STARE at all costs! Hit J to pop a cap in their ass!”

Throwin' it back this Sunday, and digging deep into the Fluxar vault. annnnnnd look what we pulled out.

We did this design for Hewitt Medical Group a few years back, however we feel it still holds up well and will continue to stand the test of time. We used Neenah Paper and Packaging Classic Crest Solar White.

Desert Princess Country Club located in lovely Palm Springs was in need of impactful photography for use on their website and marketing materials.

Believe it or not we did get to eat some of the delicious food we shot that day. Typically, styled food for photography is rendered inedible due to the process of making it camera ready. Not this time!

Here’s proof positive that Fluxar Studios was into monoliths long before they were cool. Post rock outfit Choirs has been a consistent collaborator for many years and we always have fun designing art for their album covers and show posters. One of our favorites was for their album ‘We All Need Closure’ shown here in all its glory on compact disc (remember those?!?). The artwork conveys the moody, intense, hard rock themes they’re known for and allows the listener to develop deeper connections to the music.

Fluxar has been working with abstract, floral artist Johnny Ramos for over 15 years. One of the newest projects we have been working on with him is a clothing line. Modern Gigi Inc is the mother company with Modern Gigi Apperal, and Modern Gigi & Co. as two of the most recent clothing ventures. These are some prototype tags we brewed up to test the waters.

Johnny hand drew about 100 plus versions of the logo with felt pen on paper, from there we picked the best letters and graphically combined and illustrated what came to be, the Modern Gigi logo.

Client: Two Goats and The Goose

We’ve worked a number of times with restaurateur Shawna Haddad on her various food driven ventures. With her most recent restaurant that was named Two Goats and The Goose, she wanted something whimsical to match her vision. We created two illustrated characters injected with that whimsical feel and from there Shawna set off to bring her newest creation to life.

As huge fans of film and cinema we love an opportunity to design movie posters. The visuals of the poster art can make or break the success of a film and you only get one chance at a first impression so It’s imperative to give the viewer an idea of what to expect. We’ve worked many times with filmmaker Rickey Bird Jr. at Hectic Films in bringing his visions to life. For the movie Booze Broads and Blackjack we wanted to combine the mafia movie style while injecting it with the kind of flair Rickey is known for. The movie features an impressive cast of familiar faces including Sopranos star Vincent Pastore and Donnie Darko’s James Duval. We can’t wait to assist Rickey on his next exciting project!

The goal was to make you want to eat your computer screen, or charter a private jet and fly to their nearest location and get you some of that tasty Woodfired Pizza! 800 Degrees is a boutique, quickly growing pizza kitchen, with locations across the States and few international. During the design and development of this website we struggled with the urge to eat pizza the entire time. Soo... we did!

The logo that we designed for Independent Pipe was such a fun project. The logo went through so many revisions to finally get to where we landed. Collaborating with our master logo designer Mike Erickson we ended up coming up with the result you see here. We have enjoyed seeing this brand in action on their uniforms, trucks and signage.
