Many times, it is assumed that we are a corporate owned company, but we are SO proud that we actually are a local, female owned, family ran, Latino business!
La Costa was founded almost 32 years ago by this wonderful woman, Maria.
She is a true example of what it takes to achieve the American Dream.
Tenacity, fight, grit, determination, and courage to keep running towards the goal. It wasn’t overnight. But believing in what it could be kept her going.
Her dream was simple. To provide a place where her family could work, so that they wouldn’t have to struggle to find a job. To employ and support other people who could build their own dreams.
And from there, it grew and grew to what it is today.
Mom, of course, is proud of the success of La Costa. But her heart lies with the people surrounding her.
Her family, whose goal is to see her dream grow and continue, her staff, who she sees as her own family, and the community of Bakersfield and beyond who have shown unwavering support over the last 32 years.
Let this be a reminder; fighting for your dreams isn’t usually easy, but it is so, so worth it.
We love you, Mom.
