Band Camp and the 2024 Marching Season are quickly approaching! The Epsilon Omega chapter of Tau Beta Sigma and the Eta Gamma chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi will be holding our annual water drive! We will be taking donations to ensure the effective hydration of our band members. All donations are welcome. ☀️💦

It’s gRAHduation season‼️ CongratulationΣ to our two sorors who graduated with their Masters degrees from Morgan State University today! Epsilon Omega’s own Ms. Tamia “Standing Siren” Nelson (6ΕΩSP19) returned to Morgan State after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Sociology in 2020 to earn her Masters of Science in Sociology! We also want to congratulate Woodwind Coordinator for the MSU Band Program, Ms. Lauren “Peculiar MELody” Cohen (9ΕΛSPR09) on receiving her Masters of Arts in Music Performance. We are so proud of you both and we look forward to seeing and hearing about your future successes 💙🎓🤍

This past Wednesday, the Morgan State University Office of Student Life and Development hosted the Stars Award Show honoring the student organizations on campus and highlighting the student organizations & student leaders that embody the University’s core values.
Two of our sisters were honored with awards. Ms. Adriana Santiago (Spring ‘24) was honored with the Academic Achievement Trailblazer Award, honoring students who have excelled within their organization as well as academically, with a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Our Chapter President, Ms. Michaela Dickerson (Spring ‘22) was also honored with the Academic Achievement Trailblazer Award as well as the Blue Ribbon Award, honoring students who exemplify trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth and integrity. We are so proud of these ladies and their accomplishments!

As Women in Music Month comes to a close, we would like to give some phenomenal women their flowers for how they have not only impacted Tau Beta Sigma, Morgan State University, our beloved band program and the Epsilon Omega chapter, but how they’ve also impacted the world around them outside of the band room. This weekend the Epsilon Omega chapter had the incredible opportunity to attend the Northeast District Convention!
We were able to gain knowledge on how to continually improve our chapter in various aspects as well as fellowship with our NED sisters and brothers.
Thank you to the NED Council for awarding us among other chapters, the District Travel Grant!
Finally we would like the congratulate our newly elected NED counsel. Huge shoutout to our HBCU sisters that will be holding the VP of Membership and VP of Special Project positions 💙

We’re taking it back with 2 Spike Lee Joints, the groundbreaking HBCU classic, ‘School Daze’ and legendary film, ‘Crooklyn’. Showtime will start at 7:00 in the Carl J. Murphy FAC Band Room. The ladies of the Epsilon Omega Chapter had a blast during the Maryland Music Educators Association All State Concert today, enjoying the amazing performances from the All State ensembles, providing concessions during intermissions, and assisting with backstage setup and cleanup.
