Less than a week away from celebrating An Evening of Vintage S**t’s 5th birthday!!

Jocelyn Loverling • Five years ago, Kevin Bernhard, Kinsley Ross, and I *accidentally* created An Evening of Vintage S**t. 🕰️📚 What was supposed to be a one-off performance at Rust-N-Shine on the Highlandtown Arts District Art Walk, turned into monthly readings, pandemic livestreams, Adult Mad Libs, role plays, a mock beauty pageant, other special events and collaborations, and now live stage shows at Creative Alliance. 🙌

Back in September 2018, I *never* thought I'd become Baltimore's reigning "Mistress of S**t" nor could I have had any idea the impact of the series on my life personally as I was diagnosed with complex-PTSD and vaginismus as a result of the religious purity culture in which I grew up. ⛪

In many ways, reading paperback p**n novels in public has been a healing reclamation for me. 👑

But it's also come with immense loss. After attending last year's show, my family told me I was harmful to them and their relationships, they couldn't bear to look at me nor be in my presence, and they were ready to rescue me from my depravity. All for hosting a sex-based comedy show. We're estranged now because instead of ending the series, I chose myself and the fun, absurdity, and hilarity S**t has brought Naughties in Baltimore and beyond. 💋

This Friday will be our *BEST* show yet featuring live music from The Swingin' Swamis and pole and burlesque performances by and Tapitha Kix. 🎉🎶✨ We'll even have signature cocktails and gourmet charcuterie from Boards in a Box! 🥃🥖🧀
