You designed it, we're gonna make it. 👕

The results are in...and our very first "OFFICIAL" Sail Local shirt is about to come your way! It's been a great ride from beginning to end, and your input means the world to us.

A massive shoutout goes to Strategic Factory for their support and expertise throughout the process. They helped us acquire a shirt made through environmentally sound practices by workers paid a living wage, they will print the shirt, and they will drop-ship the shirt to all who order. It's basically a one stop shop of printing happiness.

Stay tuned for the final product reveal.

SHIRTS WILL GO ON SALE: Monday, July 29th!

You designed it, so it's going to be amazing!

Sinatra sang of New York, “If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere…” New York might be tough like that, but Baltimore has been nothing but helpful and loving to our little business - both on the boat and off.

I can’t begin to express our gratitude for everything you have done for us. From those who have sailed with us, to those who see us on social media, and to all the small businesses that have helped us learn how to be a small business…thank you so much.

Oh, and Happy Independence Day. 🇺🇸

Interrupting our regular programing for this public service announcement...

When I pulled over to block traffic and check to make sure everyone was right, I notice the teenage kid who owned the car did everything right to make sure he and his occupants were safe. Because he knew what to do, no one was hurt.

Baltimore's Love Boat? 🚢❤️

I have had the great, great pleasure of marrying so many couples on our sailboat. It's one of my favorite things to do. They're usually small elopement ceremonies at sunset with the city or Ft. McHenry in the background.

Teaming up with this year, l've been fortunate to step up to performing bigger weddings on Captain TJ's deadrise that can hold up to 25 passengers. More love to go around!

Réna and Dwayne's wedding was my second large wedding on a boat...the perfect couple, the perfect sunset, and the perfect memory. Congrats again Réna and Dwayne!

I'm excited for our next wedding!

I finally swam in the Baltimore Harbor! 🏊‍♀️🦀

Truth be told, it's not my first time swimming in the harbor. It's just the first time I intended to do it. Anyone with a boat will tell you, sometimes you might fall in when doing boat work on the dock.

It was a perfect day for an extraordinary event.
The big take away from this is... We are the caretakers of our rivers and oceans. If we want them to be clean (and make it a priority) it will happen sooner rather than later.

Thank you to Waterfront Partnership for the invitation to participate and all you and Healthy Harbor and Mr. Trash Wheel and everyone else do to make our harbor swimmable.

Looking forward to next year and more swimmers!

After the Key Bridge collapse, life goes on at the harbor 05/23/2024

A huge shoutout to The Baltimore Banner for highlighting Boat Baltimore! Check out the article to dive into Captain Bobby’s story to discover how his dedication embodies Baltimore's unyielding spirit as weddings, sunset sails, and community spirit keep him going 🌊

After the Key Bridge collapse, life goes on at the harbor Anyone with a stake, big or small, in the harbor and the port had to at least reconsider their plans and fortunes. Some felt the impact of the disaster like a tsunami, others a breaking wave. The fortunate ones felt just a ripple.

Thanks for the memories, old friend. 🌉⛵️

The first time I crossed under the Francis Scott Key Bridge in my grandfather’s little boat, I remember being equally terrified and excited. The sound of rumbling grates from the cars driving above mixed with the bay slapping on its concrete columns, the large shadow cast across the Patapsco River from the bridge’s towering spans, and the smell of salt air and fish were a sensory overload for a kid. It was so very big compared to me and my grandfather’s little boat.

As I grew, that bridge became the starting point for adventures on the water and the first real sign of home on my return. When I first sailed South to the islands from Baltimore, I looked at my wife, Alicia, as we passed under the bridge, saying, “Now, the journey begins”. And when we returned, tired, cold, and hungry, the first sight of Key Bridge warmed us up a little inside because we were finally home.

Now, as a charter boat captain, spending almost ten-hours a day sailing Baltimore Harbor, that bridge became a symbol of my livelihood. When customers asked, “Where do you sail to?”, hundreds and hundreds of times I have answered, “To the bridge and back.” And I have hundreds and hundreds of photos and videos show for it.

It was never just been a bridge to me and the folks who work these waters. Key Bridge was a symbol of great beginnings, a welcome home, and a way to feed our families. Thanks for the memories, old friend.

Only 6% of the US population are veterans. There is no bond stronger than that shared among those who have served. We have been through so much together, laughed and cried, and know exactly how each experience has impacted and shaped us.

I am super proud to be a veteran. I am proud of my fellow veterans. And I am proud that so many of us continue to serve our communities in one way or another.

Happy Veterans Day. Thank you for your service.

🚨 Don’t be ALARMED (pun intended) 🔊

Today, October 4th, at 2:20 pm the Federal Emergency Managment Agency (FEMA) will test the Emergency Alert System on everyone’s mobile phone, television, and radio NATIONWIDE!

It’s gonna be pretty loud when it happens (and maybe a little freaky). Perfect for October!

I might be a weirdo, but I’m planning on being at a public space when it happens to soak in the full effect.

This is only a test. In the event of a real emergency, the alert will be followed up with a text message of what to do and where to go. This is a long way from the old school
air raid sirens of the past.

Just figured I’d post this so you aren’t taken by surprise when it happens.

On September 11, 2001, the largest maritime evacuation occurred in New York. More than 100 boats answered the call to evacuate more than 500,000 people from Manhattan after the largest terrorist attack on American soil. Later called Operation Boat Lift, without the sacrifice and service of New York and New Jersey’s maritime community, many more would have lost their lives that day.

I’m proud to be a veteran and proud to be a part of the maritime community. Thank you to all of those who answered the call and who continue to serve.
