People with disabilities receiving Supplemental Security Income and other Social Security benefits are set to see the biggest rise in their monthly payments since 1982.

The change is the result of an automatic cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA.

Maryland Department of Human Services is offering some relief by extending your recertification for SNAP, TCA, TDAP, and PPA benefits to 2021. If your redetermination due date was October 2020 through March 2021, your appointment for recertification was automatically rescheduled. Your benefits will continue until then, and you won’t have to do anything until you’re notified of your new appointment date.

None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same.
