Dambana ng Dibdib starts Sunday April 7. Qi gong (and more) for gender expensive chests and hearts! Specifically intended to help folks with a history of shape wear/binding/top surgery (of all kinds). Common topics we cover are neck and shoulder pain, breathing more fully , self massage, rib tension, the list goes on. A virtual 6 week series that we build as a cohort.
Covid conscious qi gong happens on Sundays in Baltimore masked and in person. These are drop ins but you must sign up because space is limited. Register for both at the-atang.site or see link in bio.
Tell the cool kids.
**disappears like a cheshire cat**
Spent Wednesday in the ER with incredible pain. The kind that makes me nonverbal and barely lucid. No one could figure it out-all the labs were normal.
Yesterday was hilot treatment. Treating the unseen, energetic body. Thank you for the advice.
This morning I’m cuddled up with my sweetie and cat. I’m not 💯 yet, but getting close. I am held.
Grateful for all the medicine i have access to now. That has not always been true for me. There might be future times when it is no longer true again. I want everyone to have the medicine they need and more.
Final podcast for a while is here!

I’m so excited to be part of the ***r app as a finding supporter. There is always a bit of anxiety not knowing which businesses are actually supportive of me and my communities. Are they downright hostile? Are they nice on the surface to get our money then turn around and fund anti-gay legislation? This app takes some of that guesswork out by promoting 🏳️🌈 small businesses like mine. I want the choice to circulate resources amongst my brilliant communities. I want all of us to thrive. I want us not to be dependent on s 0 shul meaty uh to find each other.
The app is live NOW! Check it out. Also you don’t have to be gay to use it 😉
I had a blast teaching this course last year while was on pilgrimage in Ireland. Can’t wait to do it again!

Body Altar Qi Gong Reviews
Jamee is a knowledgeable and patient instructor, he is clear and kind, and in-tune with not only his body movements, but others’ as well. This allows him to give gentle corrections when practicing movements to achieve a higher level of efficacy in class that then translates through practice outside of class. --Dre

Body Altar Qi Gong Reviews
I took Jamee's Damabana ng Dibdib/Body Altar Qi Gong Class and I can't recommend it enough. Jamee's creativity and knowledge of trans bodies AND Qi Gong made for beneficial experience as a person who has had top surgery. Through the tools that Jamee offered to us during the course, I increased my rib and shoulder mobility and to my surprised, I started experiencing more pleasure in my neck and spine! --Anonymous

This is Tiana’s second appearance on the show and we’ll be talking about In This Body: Finding Liberation Virtual Conference (link in bio for more info). I also get to present this year :)

I loved doing this series in February! I cannot begin to describe how nourishing it feels to be in a space like this even with all the violence happening to our communities. The series is back and reserved specifically for QTBIPGM (Q***r Trans Black Indigenous People of the Global Majority).
It's important to me to co-create the curriculum of Dambana ng Dibdib with the cohort. White supremacy and capitalism tell us a lot of lies about health, individualism, and who gets to decide what we do with our bodies. We are an ecosystem. We are magical and natural. Our bodies are altars. Our movements and our rest are offerings to ourselves and those we love (if we want them to be).
In this series we will be using traditional medicine concepts from China and the Philippines to support people that have a history of chest binding, using gender affirming shapewear that affects the chest, or top surgery (of any kind). Qi gong (a form of therapeutic movement from China) is a large part of the class, but depending on the cohort we may also get into self massage, acupressure, gua sha, living seasonally, etc.
See link in bio for more info and to register.

If you are curious about qi gong and what it's like to work with me, come join me at my first in-person class in years! I am so excited to gather with folks in a masked + outdoor environment to introduce qi gong, tend our bodies, and move in community.
This course is reserved for QTBIPGM (q***r and trans folks who are also Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color). All levels welcome.
