Line Cooks and Pantry oversee food preparation and cooking in establishments like restaurants and hotels, and they help with the hiring and training of new kitchen staff. To succeed in this job, a candidate must be able to effectively undertake the following day-to-day duties and responsibilities:
Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef. The hours are for evening shift only, from late afternoon until closing around 10 pm. Five days week, Sundays and Mondays off. Applicant must be have a valid ServSafe certification.
We're offering a Part-time to full time kitchen position. Are you willing to learn Mediterranean cuisine and work in an open kitchen concept? You MUST be ServSafe certified, and have reliable own transportation, punctual and clean. All applicants must be COVID negative.
You will work with other kitchen staff to ensure that the kitchen runs effectively, and be an expert at ensuring food quality and maintaining kitchen equipment. Other duties and responsibilities that every good Chef has include:
Ensure that all dishes are cooked to standards and presented in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Oversee food preparation, be a team player with all staff,
monitor equipment temperature, help other kitchen staff in all aspects of operation.

-Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining sections.
-Taking customers food and drink orders
-Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
-Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
-Delivering a memorable dining experience by --resolving all customer issues promptly
-Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
-Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for -special events
Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with house policies and state regulations
Tabrizi's restaurant and catering is seeking a part-time/full-time restaurant server, with a minimum of 2-3 years of casual elegant dining experience. We operate 5 days/week with dinner service only and weddings on weekends. Candidate must be punctual, elegant, detail oriented and with high energy. and must have reliable transportation. Wine and drinks knowledge is a must. Great place to work on the water with free parking. We have an indoor restaurant and the outside Patio.
