What's lost when Baltimore arts and culture coverage gets cut? The Baltimore Sun has ended its features coverage, which means no reporting for arts and culture. What does that mean for the city's artists and organizations?
Internship opportunity.
Are you looking for an internship? Pyramid Atlantic offers an 11-week paid internship opportunity for college or post-college artists. Our interns are a core part of the Pyramid team, gaining hands-on experience in printmaking, papermaking, and book arts. Interns work with various communities, including the general public and professional artists while gaining an experience in the day-to-day operations of a non-profit art center and gallery. Interns may also book studio time at no cost to work on their art and take one workshop of their choice, paying only for material fees.
Apply at pyramidatlantic.org/artist-opportunities/internships.

NOW ACCEPTING WORK — BJC Community Archive Project
We are building the first contemporary jewelry archive. BJC community — this is your chance for your work to be part of it!
OPEN CALL 🔊 BJC Focus: In The Making, A Community Archiving Project
In lieu of our annual community challenge, the Baltimore Jewelry Center will open our gallery between December 6, 2024 and January 24, 2025 to invite members of our community to display artwork they have created at the BJC or personal artifacts related to their experience at the BJC (sketches, notes, samples, molds).
We will also engage our community in an act of collective storytelling and record-keeping, asking members to share the impact the BJC has had on them and their creative practice in the form of a brief anecdote or story.
The gallery walls will begin blank and over the course of the 6-week project, they will be populated with a collection of artwork, artifacts, and stories submitted by our community near and far.
The resulting collection will be the foundation for the BJC’s new digital archive of contemporary jewelry and will celebrate the importance of community, learning, and making, which is at the heart of everything we do.
To apply, go to the exhibition calls page on our website.
