I am running a contest for Active Duty Military Spouses -- write a "job description" of their volunteer job as a military spouse! YES, I am recommending that the military spouse can write about their knowledge and skills gained as a spouse - and use it in their resume as experience to qualify for a federal job. Volunteer jobs are equal to paid jobs - according to OPM. See the sample in my blog here. Please share. I hope to have lots of military spouses enter this contest and I will coach and edit their federal resume for two of the winners!
Military Spouse Federal Resume Writing Contest We are making a case that the Military Spouse career is a "JOB" and should be added to a resume as a "job block".
Are you still using a Big Block resume?? If so, read on to learn why this method is no longer preferred and how you can update your resume. Following our guidelines will help you get on the right path!
Are YOU Still Using a Big Block Resume? Even though it has been FIVE years since the HR system changeover, employees at DOD agencies are still using the BIG BLOCK resume format.
