Stranezze Dal Mondo
Stranezze Dal Mondo was founded in 2014 as a oddities, antiques, records, vintage clothing, decor & ephemera store.
Stranezze Dal Mondo sells vintage clothing, oddities, taxidermy, records, jewelry, religious, spiritual & occult artifacts, books, comics, antiques, architectural salvage, decor, militaria & whatever else we like through various ONLINE marketplaces. Initially we were a brick & mortar outfit, located one block up from North Avenue at 2015 North Charles Street in the Station Arts North neighborhood.

Vintage Holiday Caroling Bart Simpson doll circa 2003. Available via our shops on the online marketplaces of Poshmark, Mercari & Depop. $150 plus shipping. Local Baltimore pickup is available for cash, Cashapp or Paypal payments, contact us here in order to purchase locally. Bart Simpson doll sings his iconic irreverent version of the holiday song “ jingle bells” . Bart also says “ aye carumba”, “ dear Santa, I can’t promise I’ll try to be good, but I’ll try to try”, “my powers of deduction tell me that you’re getting a handmade sweater possibly yellow” . He also dances. This doll is still in the box and works, he doesn’t come with new batteries, you’ll likely need to replace these. The box Bart comes in is not in perfect shape. A visiting dog chewed one corner of the cardboard, this is shown in the photos.
This gorgeous pair of vintage “Polynesian tiki style” bamboo stalk textured, glass mugs are available for sale in our shop on the Chairish online marketplace. I don’t know the brand, based on the pattern I’d guess that these are from the 1950s/1960s. While there are listings elsewhere online currently that claim these glasses/ this pattern were manufactured by Morgantown glass in WV, but I’ve looked through their pattern catalogues & was unable to verify that claim. They are a rare find, especially with the applied twisty glass handle that sits low on the glasses.
Just got & haven’t yet priced or posted a listing for these folk art knights in hanging shadowbox displays. I took them apart, cleaned the glass & re-armed the knight whose sword was at his feet. These are in very good vintage condition. The shadowboxes are 23.5 inches tall 11.5 inches wide & have a depth of 6.5 inches. Made in April of 1960 these were crafted, restored & signed by a craftsperson by the name of Dave Rubin from Springfield Massachusetts (1915-2003)
“He was a well-known art and antique restorer around the Northeast. He did restorative work at the Smithsonian and other museums in the area. Besides his antique knowledge he was a professional photographer. He did a radio show in the Springfield area called Mister Fixit for several years. David also formulated Rubin-Brite Polish that is still on the market. He also sold this product and his photographs at the Big E for 25 years.” (source-https://obits.masslive.com/us/obituaries/masslive/name/david-rubin-obituary?pid=1678524)
