Indigma Returns Home to Mount Vernon for Final Encore

Baltimore, MD – Incredible patience, extraordinary resilience, and sheer hard work, is what it took local restaurateurs, Tony and Ann Chemmanoor, to pick up the pieces and put them back together after losing their prized restaurant to an electrical fire in April of 2017. Since then, they have forged ahead leaving the past in the past in order to rebuild and reveal the newest addition to their restaurant empire. Indigma will make its return this month as the redefined, redesigned Indigma - Modern Indian Bistro. The highly anticipated restaurant will open its doors just in time for the holidays in its new location on the corner of Cathedral and Read in what used to be Tavern on the Hill. What can you expect from the new, reinvented Indigma? Well, let’s put it this way, Indigma’s fanbase will not be disappointed as the restaurateurs have brought back their favorite and most popular dishes. The new menu will provide limited offerings each season allowing Indigma’s expert chefs the opportunity to prepare each hand selected dish to perfection. The bistro’s bar boasts an extensive wine list, beer unique to India, as well as fresh handcrafted cocktails. For now, Indigma will open only for dinner service. The husband and wife team revived the old space–breathing new life into it by creating a trendy bistro with flair. The couple stayed true to the previous design paying homage to the late Ted Pearson, award-winning interior designer of Rita St. Clair Associates, by painting the walls with Pearson’s bold saffron and vibrant purple–hues that make for a stunning backdrop in the modern Indian bistro.
