Attention Bangor! If you are at the Bangor State Fair this week (or next), come find us! We are set up in the food truck section behind the grandstand. We will return to the Bangor Waterfront for regular hours on August 5th.

I know the weather has been a little flippant this weekend, but we have two pieces of good news to counteract it!

1) We always try to have two non-dairy/vegan options on the menu in Belfast and right now one of the options (pictured) is Tropical Mojo Sorbet, which we specially design to brighten any day!

2) We’re expanding hours in Belfast this week, now open 7 days a week 12-8pm! Take that, crazy rainy weather!!

Anyone waiting for Maine Wild Blueberry ice cream… we’re happy to announce it is back on the menu (hopefully there for much of the season, but it sells fast…). Also selling very fast this weekend is our Coconut Raspberry Bar ice cream (pictured in a hand-rolled waffle cone). It is a coconut ice cream with scratch-made raspberry bar chunks in it.

Our Belfast scoop shop opened quietly last week and we’re so happy to have seen a bunch of you already! Our spring hours are Wed-Sun 12-8pm.

The Bangor wagon is at the Brewer Lowe’s today 6/19 (open until 6pm). Tomorrow 6/20 we will be in the Riverside Inn parking lot at Northern Light Health on State Street in Bangor. Then we will be back on the Bangor Waterfront for our regular hours to finish the week.

We have a very limited supply of Lemon Ginger Cookie ice cream in both locations right now (pictured). We can’t guarantee how long it will last!

Last week for Belfast! We will be open Wed-Sun 12-8pm (10/13-10/17) and then closed for the 2021 season. Thank you everyone for another great summer. We will recharge our batteries and see you again next year!

Some of the flavors you might see rotating through the menu this week are Orange Chip (pictured), Vanilla Triple Chocolate Brownie, S’munkin, and Apple Crisp, among others.

Here’s a new one this year that will probably rotate through the menu often: Vanilla Triple Chocolate Brownie. Vanilla ice cream stuffed full of our scratch-made brownies with extra semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips. Seen here in our custom recipe, hand-rolled waffle cone.

Just a heads up that the Bangor Waterfront will be cutting back to Fri-Sun for the final two weeks. Wait, summer’s over already!?!

Another rare flavor is on the menu this week! Sunny Skies is now in Bangor and Belfast. This flavor is only sold once a year between July 16th-25th (or until it runs out). A lot of people beg us to put it on the menu more often, but here’s the deal…

Yesterday, July 16th, marked the 24th anniversary of the Wilder-Cowan relationship leading to today, July 17th, our 16th wedding anniversary. At our wedding we had a lemon blueberry cake from the former Montes Catering in Bangor. To this day, it remains our favorite cake of all time. We used to order a mini replica of the cake each year for our anniversary and are very sad we can no longer do so. SO, we did what we do with all our favorite desserts and we honored it with a very special ice cream flavor, Sunny Skies, our signature Lemon Heaven studded with blueberries. And we sell it only once a year in celebration of our anniversary, ending around July 25th, which this year is the 8th anniversary of our first Wild Cow Creamery scoop of ice cream sold to the world. This time of year holds some very special memories for us, and maybe with this flavor it will for you as well.

Let’s get this Bangor party started! Our stand next to on the Bangor Waterfront is now open! We are starting with Thurs-Sat 12-8pm until we get the rest of our workers trained and we can add some days.

Bangor: Thur-Sat 12-8pm

Just a heads up on the constantly changing Covid guidelines: We employ mostly young workers who have just recently become eligible for vaccines and at best can’t be fully vaccinated until mid-late summer. Due to the large daily volume of customers, our workers are particularly vulnerable because they are interacting with everyone from within an enclosed space. It may be one outdoor interaction for you that day, but it is hundreds of face to face indoor interactions to them each day. We will be wearing masks this summer regardless of the state guidelines and asking customers to wear a mask while ordering at our window. Whether you are vaccinated or not does not change our request. We will serve you even if you don’t have a mask, but please be kind when you walk up and our workers ask you to wear one. It’s just for a couple minutes and then you can continue your unmasked stroll with some delicious ice cream while feeling good that you did your part to alleviate a bit of stress from our day. Thank you so much! We love you all and we’re excited to play a part in providing some normalcy for you this summer!

We are so excited to kick off Summer v.2021 in Belfast! Some things will look the same (still doing the takeout window), but we just hired some awesome new scoopers so you will see some new smiling faces behind the masks, and we’re energized that it’s going to be a fantastic summer!
