Wild Peony Pies

Things have come to a bit of a standstill for Wild Peony- I'm still in limbo with the website and the Etsy. I'm currently not in a commercial kitchen, so orders are on hold. It has all been very frustrating.

Instead of standing here stagnating, I've decided to turn the corner and try something new. I'm leaving this account up but won't be posting here until I can get back to filling orders.

HOWEVER, I *will* be posting recipes, baking tips, and videos of my process at (IG) or
Coffee & Pie & Ghosts (FB).
We will have some coffee, talk about pie, trade recipes, remember our grandmas, and tell some stories. I would love it if you joined me. See you soon.

Due to several requests, I've made some smaller sizes available for this last week of ordering.

Holiday cookies come in Elf size (15 cookies $10) or Santa size (30 cookies $20).

Potiča (nut or poppyseed) comes in small (2-3 servings $5) or large (6-8 servings $15).

Kolache come in Elf size (12 cookies $10) or Santa size (24 cookies $20).

All boxes will be decorated for the holidays. Please message if you need a custom order.

Despite the cost of ingredients going up, up, up- everything from Wild Peony continues to be made with the best ingredients. I use real butter, heavy cream, unbleached flour, and free-range eggs from a local farm just outside of Akron. Every pie and pastry is made from whole ingredients with no preservatives. I really think it makes a difference.

Yule Logs are now available! Chocolate sponge cake, whipped cream filling, and chocolate ganache comes together as a decadent treat for the holidays. Each log serves 8-10 and is decorated for gift giving.

I recently heard from a customer who had been following me since back in the day when I was making pastries for local coffee shops and the West Side Market. That was around 2002. That's over 20 years! And here I thought I was invisible with all this bouncing around I do. That must have been some good pastry! 🤣

Felt inspired to make these Orange Spice Cinnamon Rolls this morning. The dough has orange zest kneaded into it, and they're rolled up with butter, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Topped with an orange and nutmeg glaze. Perfect with a cup of coffee on an autumn day. ☕️🍂🍁🎃

Wild Peony is no longer at the shop in Cleveland, but you can order all of your holiday treats online at the website. (Link in IG bio or go to www.wildpeonypies.com) Orders are delivery only in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area.

Autumn Triple Pear Pie in the shop today! We start with Bartlett, Anjou, and Bosc pears, slice them thin, and toss them in orange zest and autumn spices. This might be your new favorite fruit pie!
