Congratulations to Corey, who was our June employee of the month! Corey started out in the dish pit and worked his way up to being a line cook. He is the perfect example of a team player. He helps out the team wherever it is needed. Corey does everything that is asked of him with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He is doing his school work study with us and learning all aspects of the industry. Corey’s goal is to become an engineer, which we think he will be great at! Thanks for all you do for us, Corey, and we’re so glad you’re part of the Tavern team!
We enjoyed our time at Lux Row today doing a private barrel selection. We chose Rebel barrel #8119606 which was barreled on August 14, 2018. We will have a launch party when it arrives. We can’t wait for you to try it!
One of the best weekends in Bardstown!
A great time as always!
On this day in 1769, pioneer Daniel Boone took his first step into Kentucky and uttered the famous phrase, "Heaven must be a Kentucky kind of place.” Daniel Boone was a frequent visitor to Bardstown. He was friends with Captain James Harrod, another Kentucky pioneer, and in 1792 Boone was subpoenaed to testify in a land dispute involving the Captain. Boone gave his deposition at the Tavern. You can stay overnight in our Daniel Boone Room upstairs at the Tavern by booking online.
Happy National Daniel Boone Day!
