MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

The Barre Housing Authority has a full-time position available for a Maintenance Mechanic.
This person will report directly to the Director of Maintenance, and be expected to perform skilled, routine maintenance duties, work orders, and other extraordinary maintenance activities in BHA properties, including building exteriors, common areas, apartments, building systems, fixtures and grounds. A strong knowledge in all trades is preferred. Position may require some evenings and weekends as needed.

The ideal candidate will be sensitive to the needs of all people, dependable under supervised and non-supervised conditions, and maintain a professional attitude and demeanor.

Position includes a very generous benefit package and competitive salary.

Assistant SASH Coordinator

Barre Housing Authority Support and Services at Home (SASH) program is looking for a fun, enthusiastic team player to join their team. Seeking a 15/hr/week assistant SASH Coordinator to aid in the delivery of SASH Services to the elderly and disabled participants in the Barre Area.
Assistant Coordinator will work closely with the lead SASH Coordinator and SASH Wellness nurse.

Duties include building positive and trusting relationships with SASH Participants, wellness group programming, developing a knowledge of each participant's strengths and challenges as they pertain to living safely and independently at home. Also, must have working knowledge of computers, area resources, be a team player, and willing to engage by using positive and effective communication skills.
