The final round of the VT Mid Amateur Championship is underway! Max Major and Bryan Smith both with putts for eagle on 5.

As many of you saw earlier, today’s one day 6-6-6 tournament had plenty of excitement! The 6-6-6 consists of 6 holes Scramble, 6 holes Shamble, and finishes with 6 holes of modified alternate shot. Some pretty impressive scores on the board!

Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you to everyone who came out on this beautiful Sunday!

Country Club of Barre celebrates its centennial PLAINFIELD — In the 1960s, Burnie Allen caddied for Boston Celtics legend Casey Jones at the Country Club of Barre. Caddies were paid $1.50 for nine holes; $3 for 18.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating our Centennial Anniversary this past Saturday. Thank you all for coming out to share an incredible milestone at the club!

Our first CCB Major is in the books!

The Maurice Kelley match play tournament is a member favorite and this year did not disappoint. We lucked out on the weather and at least half of the flights came down to a head to head matchup to determine the winner of their flight! Congratulations to all of those that pulled out the victory.

Thank you to Billy, Mitch, and the rest of the CCB maintenance crew for providing us with an unbelievable golf course. The way the greens were rolling made it easy to forget it's only mid May!

The Pro Shop staff did an excellent job ensuring the tournament ran smoothly and keeping everyone on track. Although there were many more involved, a special shoutout to Joe Choquette, Pete Richards, and Paige Oakes for taking the reigns all weekend!

Additional thanks to Fairways and Greens for providing us with a delicious meal throughout the day Saturday and for keeping us well hydrated throughout the weekend :)

Pay in full before 1/1/2024 - Receive 3 free green fees and one reserved tee time for the season. Welcome members may only reserve a tee time after Jan. 1st to give preference to returning members.

Pay in full between 1/1/2024 and 3/1/2024 - Receive one reserved tee time for the season.

We would also like to remind everyone that reserved tee times are a privilege. Please notify the Pro Shop in advance if you will not be able to use your time each week. Repeated no shows may result in reserved times being canceled for the season.

For those that haven't heard, we've got some exciting news to share about one of our members! Some of you may remember our post back in October congratulating Garret Cameron on winning the 2023 Division I Golf Medalist, but we've got an update!

As the VT Division I High School Golf Individual Medalist, Garret has been invited to attend the National High School Golf Invitational in Frisco, TX next summer. CCB Member, Garret Cameron, is a senior at Spaulding High School and was the runner up at the Country Club of Barre's Club Championship this year!

Another great day at CCB closing out the season with our annual Turkey Shootout. Thank you to all of those that played despite the date change. A special thank you to Joe, Billy, their staff, and Fairways and Greens for a fun day and beautiful conditions for November golf.
