A little light during a dark time...
This is NOT food hoarding! THIS is a barn family coming together during a very scary time to help support someone in need.
SOF and HCF clients have decided to empty their pantries and refrigerators, or shop for the family who lives on our farm. Our wonderful groom and his wife are expecting another baby in just a few weeks. With daycares being shutdown and Elizabeth unable to work, we as a group chose to minimize Joseās risk of exposure by bringing the groceries to them!
We really do have an amazing barn family!
Seven Oaks Farm boarders and students:
As most of you are aware local schools and many universities are closing down for the next few weeks due to the COVID-19 virus.
Being a smaller establishment; as of right now we will be continuing to conduct business and lessons are still being taught. Should anything change clients will be contacted individually.
HOWEVER, for the safety of all staff, riders, and families; if anyone is feeling sick please STAY HOME! This is not a new policy, and as always cancellations will not be charged, but out of courtesy please try to give as much notice as possible.
Any clients that previously canceled lessons due to Spring Break vacation plans that have now been canceled who would like to reschedule, please contact me directly!
Stay healthy and safe, be smart, and check on any loved ones who might be at higher risk!!

The 2020 horse show season has started and the hard work from the past few months is already showing! Traveling to two shows in three weeks, the Carper girls and their wonderful horses have stepped up from the 2ā3ā to the 2ā9ā and are now proving very competitive in the Junior division.
A couple highlights from the February Fields & Fences show included a Reserve Champion for Panache Rouge in the Open Hunter, ribbons for both horses and riders in the Jr 14 & under Hunter and Equitation divisions, and a 5th place for Hope in the Childrenās Medal!
This weekend at Fields & Fences we switched things up and the girls swapped horses; showing each mount for the very first time! Hayley on Panache Rouge was Reserve Champion in the Jr. Hunters, earned a couple primary colors in the Non-Pro Hunter Division, 6th in the Hunter warmup (out of 31!), was 2nd in the Childrenās Medal, 2nd and 3rd in the Jr. Equitation, and WON the equitation warmup! Hope was aboard Quiet Tap earning Reserve Champion in the Non-Pro Hunters, Champion in the Jr. Hunter division, 3rd in the Childrenās Medal, and Reserve Champion in the Jr. Equitation!
Thank you to Kate Wichmann for piloting both horses on Friday of both horse shows, and Anita Schadeck for hosting!
Seven Oaks Farm is looking forward to more fun and success in 2020, and another great show season!
3ā6ā?! No problem!! These three had fun playing in a gymnastic today!
Riding and teaching outside in December?!?! We even had a little rainbow peeking out from the clouds!

The results are in and it looks like the Carper Family will be coming home with LOTS of year end awards...with ALL THREE HORSES!!
Panache Rouge (Panda) brings home the WIN in the Low Hunters, with Quiet Tap (Tap) earning 4th place, and Logarithm (Logan) 5th place!
Logan managed to stay in the ribbons with only three horse shows this year earning 8th place in the Non-Tb division and was 8 points shy of a ribbon in the Beginner Childrenās Hunter!
Tap, the newest Carper addition, went to three horse shows as well this year and will be bringing home a 7th place year end award in the Limit Childrenās Hunter, and just missed out earning a top prize in the Tb Hunters by a couple points!
Panda had an incredible season, besides the top award in the Low Hunters, he earned Reserve Champion overall in the Tb Hunters! He also claimed the top spot in the Beginner Childrenās Hunter and 2nd overall in the Limit Childrenās Hunter!
Letās not forget about the girls who piloted these phenomenal horses either!
Hope C. brings home a 3rd in a very competitive group of riders in the Limit Childrenās Eq division and got to ride at medal finals in her first season doing the Childrenās Mini-Medal! Hayley C. had a pretty rough year, riding 3 different horses this season, and was a mere 5.5 points shy of the final ribbons of the Limit Childrenās Eq!
It was an amazing season and we canāt wait to see what the future holds for this great group of horses and young riders!
We had an amazing horse show last weekend at the Fields & Fences NIHJA show, with both horses and riders coming home with multiple ribbons!
Some highlights included Panache Rouge as Champion in the TB Hunter and Reserve Champ in the Low Hunter, and Quiet Tap champing the Low Hunter and taking Reserve Champion in the TB Hunter š!
The girls also came home with some tri-colored ribbons with Quiet Tap and Hayley C. taking the title of Reserve Champion in the Limit Childrenās Hunter, 2nd in the Limit Childrenās Equitation Classic, and having the ride of her life in the Childrenās Mini-Medal! Hope C. aboard Panache Rouge was Reserve Champ in the Beginner Childrenās Hunter and Champion of the Limit Childrenās Hunter, as well as having a BIG win in the Childrenās Mini-Medal! GREAT RIDING GIRLS!!!

After a long trailer ride, look who made it safely to ALABAMA...This goofy boy will be missed at SOF š¢, but we couldnāt be happier for him to be down south with his owner! Good luck to Jackie and Cody!!!
Just three red boys enjoying some synchronized grazing on a late summer day!
A BIG congratulations š to the Carper family on their newest addition Quiet Tap! Left to right is Hayley on Tap, Hope on Logan, and Jen on Panda. Tap is a great addition to an already wonderful family of horses and riders and we couldnāt be more excited for what the future has is store!
The Seven Oaks girls had another great horse show over the weekend at Fields & Fences! Everyone rode awesome and got to bring home many good ribbons!
All three girls dominated in both the Beginner and Limit Childrenās Hunter divisions, the Limit Childrenās equitation division and the Childrenās Mini-medal; with Meadow C. winning the medal, Hope C. earning second place, and Hayley C. earning sixth place!
So much pride for these young up-and-coming riders and their wonderful mounts!
First outdoor rides of the season!! Woohoo!!
Hope (on Panda) and Hayley (on Logan) doing what they do at the last horse show at Fieldās & Fences! Thanks for sharing these Adam!
The first horse show of 2019 was a huge success!!
Brittany G. rode the Carper horses Friday and brought home some great ribbons on both Panache Rouge and Logarithm, including and Champion in the Low Hunter and Reserve in the Thoroughbred Hunter.
Saturday and Sunday all three girls and their mounts performed great and earned lots of top ribbons!
Hayley and Logarithm were Champion in the Beginner Hunter division winning both o/f classes, and stepped up to the 2ā3ā and received ribbons in both the hunters and equitation.
Hope and Panache Rouge also moved up a division, earning ribbons in both the Limit Hunter and Equitation as well as a 3rd in their fist Mini-medal out of 15 riders!
Meadow and Seven Oaksā Ponylicious had great rounds both days and brought home a 2nd in the Limit Equitation out of 13 riders and a 5th in her second Mini-medal!
Weāll be back at it again in March at Fields & Fences!
All the horses are comfy and content; even with the subzero temps the barn is holding steady at 25 degrees!
Thank goodness for a full barn, heated water buckets, and a full hay loft!
Yesterday was FREE JUMP FRIDAY, something that is quickly becoming a winter break tradition!
Look how great these boys were! Thanks to all the SOF and HCF clients who came out to setup, help work the horses and care for them afterwards, and reset the course for today's busy lesson schedule. Special thanks to our great photographer(s) Coryn (and Keeley)!
Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful holiday!
