Saturday, August 3, we are hosting a community Walk to End Alzheimer’s and carnival. We are hosting a walk at our community in order to include more of our residents. After the walk there will be carnival games and prizes, a bouncy house, food for purchase, and live music by Lone Wolf! Please come join us in a great cause and join in the festivities afterwords! For our weekly ‘cruise’ today we went to Madison, IN. The ride was wonderful, but the view when we arrived was spectacular!

Today we had craft time to make ‘fireworks’ for the upcoming 4th of July. The residents really enjoyed this crafting time and even put their own individual twists on each piece!

Every week we offer ‘Pampered Hands.’ Pampered Hands was provided by Trinity this week!

Today we had an Iced Tea social. (The plan was to socialize outside with our tea in hand, but the heat advisory told us otherwise.)

Today we celebrated our fathers and father figures. We had some ‘dad jokes’. As well as, talked about found memories of our fathers and the fathers spoke about fatherhood.

What’s for snack today? Pumpkin-zucchini muffins! Pam (our Dietary Manager) made these from scratch for our residents to snack on today.

Dr. Sam, at Good Tree Assisted Living in Stephenville, was able to go back to his Veterinary Clinic for his Tree of Dreams.
He was able to do wellness checks on a couple of cats and a dog. Dr. Sam visited with the staff and the new Vet Techs working at the clinic. He had such a great time.
There were lots of laughs, stories and memories shared.
