Melanoma Monday
Today we want to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancer and to encourage early detection through self-exams.

It's crucial to develop good sun habits as one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Do you know the ABCDE Melanoma Rule? It's a guide to help you know what to look for in moles on yourself and loved ones.

We are looking for a Nurse/Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team! 🥳

Hours:
* 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday... plus one Friday a month.

Benefits include:

This position is responsible for patient preparation, as well as, assisting the physician with medical procedures, routine wellness exams, scheduling surgeries and verifying insurance coverage. Also performs various diagnostic tests, and handles patient education in the clinic. They will support other medical staff members to maintain patient flow. It is also very important for this position to have accurate and complete documentation.

Women’s wellness exams are critical to preventing chronic and life-threatening conditions.

It is also important to keep in mind that we’re focusing here on cancer screening. Screening tests look for cancer in people who don’t have symptoms. These tests are different from tests your doctor might order if you have symptoms that could be from cancer. If you have signs or symptoms that might be from cancer, for instance, a lump in the breast or blood in the stool, you should discuss this with your provider right away, as you will need exams or tests that evaluate those particular signs and symptoms.

Your wellness visit is a lot more than just a pap-smear. They cover breast exam, pelvic exam, screening lab, family planning and so much more.
