Last year’s Flash Portraits with Charlotte Agell was so popular we are not only bringing her back to do more, but also adding another session of Flash Drawings with Neesha Hudson!
Charlotte will be drawing fast, free portraits for kids and Neesha will be drawing an animal or character from one if her books for kids to keep.
They will be set up near the Game Tent, so make sure you get in line early- these will be popular!

We invite kids of all ages to get creative with our 2nd annual Children’s Costume Contest & Parade led by none other than The Pigeon! 🐦🐦🐦
The Pigeon will lead kids in a *parade* around Library Park, follwed by judging on the gazebo stage by our celebrity author judges.
Prizes will be awarded for:

🏆Classic Character
🏆Group Costume
The parade will line up at the Children’s Room entrance of the Patten Free Library at noon.

The Bath Book Bash is excited to welcome Brycen back for his 3rd time!
Brycen Green is a twelve year old author who enjoys creating imaginative worlds and sharing them with people through his stories. He has had a passion for writing since he was six years old. He has written 3 books: Camp Creatures, The Night Monsters, and his newest story, Magic and Mystery: A War Between Worlds. Brycen’s books have been featured in his elementary school library and in the Bath Book Bash. When Brycen is not writing you can find him playing on the field or court. His favorite sports are baseball, basketball, and soccer. Brycen also is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing and hunting.

Shannon Doleski is an ELA teacher and librarian in Maine. Her debut middle grade novel, “Mary Underwater,” was named a Best Book of the Year from the New York Public Library. Her book, “Gabe in the After,” was a 2023-2024 Maine Student Book Award nominee.
Shannon lives in an old Victorian with her three children, a speckle-eared beagle, and an ornery dachshund.

Alysa Wishingrad writes fantastical stories for young readers. She is the author of “Between Monsters and Marvels,” a Golden Kite Finalist, which was featured on the 2024 ALA Summer Reading List, and ”The Verdigris Pawn,” a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection.
Alysa lives in the Hudson Valley with her family and two demanding rescue dogs, who are either monsters or marvels, depending on the day.
